Yeah, it’s not even that my issue would be that I would expect him to kill it there and that it’d be a great signing for them. Really it’s just that I have always quite liked him and he played a big role in what little success we’ve had in recent years, so I don’t wanna have to recalibrate the way I feel about him and start considering him a Spurs cunt.
He’d never go there !!
Bring him back!
Are you with me? @SRCJJ
If he sticks to being a centre mid and doesn’t neglect defensive duties there is a case too make. But this guy thought he was special. If he still thinks that, than no, absolutely wouldn’t take him back.
Would be a huge downgrade on ESR. Avoid at all costs.
To be fair, he was playing under Arsene.
Especially in his latter seasons, Arsene completely disregarded defending. Even when switched to a 3atb it was to overload the midfield.
We’ve had good sample of hard working Ramsey again, running his ass off up and down the pitch under Emery.
Would come as an #8 though.
I’m all for Xhaka and Elneny fucking off and bringing in Ramsey to cover a mentoring role even.
Hes not an 8. Bloke wanders around the pitch like prime Inzaghi.
Also his first touch and close controle is way to shite to be an 8.
Haha I’d be absolutely devastated if we did. One of the players I’m so glad to see the back of.
I really miss his backheels to no one in particular. Those were always fun.
Would welcome back with open arms
Me too
Remember that stat where we were getting no points when he wasn’t playing. And then he leaves and we’ve been in the dregs since? Given his insane fitness he’s one 30yo who should age well.
I’d also happily take a Ramsey Xhaka Partey midfield 3
People never learn lol.
Lets sign more past their peak players
Ramsey is on 400k per week and constantly injured. I wouldn’t take him on a free, much less pay money for him.
I really miss goals from midfield. They were always fun.
Appreciate what he did at the club but the only gutting thing about him leaving was the lack of fee we got
I guess Partey is complete enough to compensate for the endless deficiencies the other two have.
People cling onto the moments Ramsey had where he looked like a good player but completely neglect his lack of discipline on field and his tendency to try spectacular things that hardly ever worked.
Not to mention his unfortunate inability to keep fit.
