That all sounds very encouraging, but then I remember that we have to go to the Etihad and that a win for them there, plus another loss for us with them winning their match, could see them top on goal difference, with them then only needing to match us and not concede their GD advantage.
I remember when people were saying our second half of season fixtures were easier than the first half. The issue atm is we arnt beating the good teams weâre facing at home and weâre struggling away against every team.
Wouldnât panic here. Brentford are just devilishly good at home. Did the same to City and Liverpool.
Didnât help that we were missing Merino and Havertz in this. This is a game they wouldâve been key in.
Wouldâve been nice to steal the 3 points but we should be pleased with the point considering how the game went.
Much needed break for the main guys against Wigan.
Underlying issues were always there, itâs just the focus shifted with Man City dropping points and seeing that as a comfort zone .
Iâm worried about the games we are expected to cruise through.
The positive thing recently our game has picked up pace and intent but we really shouldnât be dropping any more points, just such a shame we did not capitalise on extending our lead on two occasions.
