25/26 Title race 🏆

These are the places where things like stats fail at reading a game played on the field. The computers probably can’t calculate the abstract quality between City and Villa’s squad, and probably can’t comprehend the ability of City to mount in a consistent title charge in the later half of the season like they mostly do. Which probably Villa aren’t capable of.

Opta is correct.

Opta bullshit. Worked on the data side of these systems in a past life, the predictive analysis is not reliable imo.

Yeah it’s ridiculous to give us a percentage that high with a gap that small and 16 games to go. Clearly unreliable analysis

Aston Villa without injuries could finish above Man City but their squad has significantly less depth in quality.

So although they’ve signed Abraham and Luiz for depth, Man City have the luxury of laundering more money on top quality players like Semenyo and Guehi, who would walk into the first team of most clubs in Europe.

Huge result, even if a game we would’ve generally expected to win.

Leeds have been on a real resurgence since November and we’d been on the wobble recently. Back to 7 points clear for now and pressure on Man City to keep up.

Weekend not ruined. GG Arsenal.

14 games left. Win 10 of those, and draw 2 + lose 2, I think we win the league with that.

City to be safe, have to win 13 of their remaining 15…?

Top 4 teams have collectively won only 11-12 games of their last 30 or so combined (read a stat).

Perhaps what does it for us this season will be other teams stealing points from City & Villa.

Good to be back on winning ways again.

Couldn’t have asked for much more today.

13 wins to guarantee the league.

Fair gamble but I wouldn’t recommend betting too much on it

It may be very arrogant of me but why do people keep wanting Villa to drop points? They are not in it I dont care if they are close to us and city its not a 3 team fight

Cause Mr. Good Ebening has a vendetta against us, and you just never know..

The football Gods are almost never on our side in these things lol.

They’ve got a very decent run to the end of the season

If Villa win the title, just shut down this club.

It’s not happening.

Sunderland and Brentford are must wins, if we win both of those I think we win the league. Think city will have 1 slip up in the next 3.

May run looks nice but more than half of those teams could be still in a relegation scrap.

As my wife hears from me every day, we are going to win this cunting league.

Yeah I agree, we must win against Sunderland and Brentford. I’m not convinced that Spurs take points off City tomorrow, but I do think Liverpool can which helps us open up a gap again. I actually think if we have a big enough gap, we will go to City and beat them in April.

They won’t because they know that mid table is about the best they can do so will save their players and go all out in the CL.
