I played hockey when I was younger. A pacey winger.
I remember watching the girls play field hockey back in grammar school and that’s about as much education in the sport as I have.
I’ll be gutted if Niabli doesn’t win this. He has had a fantastic race.

Can someone please explain the fascination of field hockey? Ice hockey I’ve played myself and love. In field hockey the club is turned the wrong way (for me) and why arnt you allowed to use the backside or the club? Why do they all have to face the same way?

Only a silver medal for her. She was leading 11-7 before losing 15-13. It was an epic collapse. It’s still the first medal for us though so i am quite happy in the end.
