I think it lacks a bit of defensive awareness, athleticism and robustness. I’d just personally like a midfielder like Bissouma over Tielemans but yeah.

Bissouma aint all that, Potter makes him look good. But i agree we do need a more combative player in midfield, a Bissouma type is definitely what’s missing.

Real Madrid sat in the wings patiently waiting to see if we’ll make a move on Tielemans. Their whole summer hinges on our next move.
If we are only getting one CM, then that is what I would want instead of Tielemans. If we only get one CM it will be a function of keeping on Xhaka and Elneny. Again.

I’m sure they can cook the books in all sorts of ways, plus they need to spend that Mbappe fund to save face.
Winning the Champions League did that already. 
Also, rather Madrid sign another forward to support Benzie and Vini.

Tielemans career minutes played (31738 per Transfermarkt) is completely off the charts for his age. He started playing first team football when he was 16 and has almost never been hurt. I think it is genuinely something to think about, although one would hope that at 25 he would still have 4-5 more good years in him even if he is a player that breaks down early.

Yeah that is worrying. Sounds like his body would be permanently in the “red zone” at this stage of his career.

Let’s be honest here, the reason we’re even close to getting him is because he pretty tanked his value after a shambolic season.
Maybe it was tactical, Arteta must’ve tapped him and he had to clear the pathway for Different Knock FC.
