How about, “what is Lord Hereford’s Knob?” That wasn’t one of my questions, but it was in one of the quizzes I did.
For those who don’t know, it’s a mountain

That sounds more like a question you might ask at an Ann Summers party.
Although I’ll still use it.
This is class haha. Just put it on my groupchat
If you want a more guessable question then how about: What is the most common colour of toilet paper in France? Pink
…and I’ll never know
Oh, you do
I appreciate the answer. Was driving me mad.
I asked, “for one point name two winners of the Oscar for best picture in the 1970s. Name a third for an additional point”, nobody even came close. It’s like I aimed the question solely at the @Persona 's of this world.
The number of all time classics they could have named, smh…
Patton, The French Connection, The Godfather, The Sting, The Godfather Part II, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’ s Nest, Rocky, Annie Hall, The Deer Hunter and Kramer vs Kramer
SMH nobody came close
That’s the one decade of Oscar winners I know as well lol.
Don’t know all the 80s and 90s. Only sporadically
I thought my quiz was too easy at first because I would have known the answers to a lot of the questions, It’s hard to judge, but then like you say, on some of them no one was even coming close. I then got annoyed because they didn’t know, “why don’t any of you know that? You should know that!”
Exactly haha. I asked that one knowing I’d get at least five out of the ten if asked myself, thus assuming others would get it right quite easily too, even if they had to take a bit of a punt.
“You know what really grinds my gears?”
@JakeyBoy @s me out of the blue…
“hmm, do I really wanna read this?”
And yet, the tagging was a compliment.
I’m a narcissist, so when I put the two of us in the same category, it’s a compliment.
Here’s a bit of a tricky question.
Which city is farther west, Bristol or Edinburgh?
Another one I’ve used: The emblems of the three major German car manufacturers have what in common?
I made these up for a get together at our house a couple of years ago.
I heard this on a quiz show last week, so I won’t answer. But it’s definitely one that gets you drawing the British Isles in your head and then thinking “hang on, where is Edinburgh?”
I’ll definitely use that.
The question I mean, not the pink toilet paper.
All circular?
Got it in one. Thinking about it, four German brands use circles. I’d initially thought of BMW, Audi and VW, but Mercedes have that three-pointed star within a circle.
Here’s another question, then: What’s the name of that traditional British pie that is made with a dividing ‘wall’ of pastry and having a meat meal in one half, and a fruit dessert in the other half?
Mince Pie?
I had Volkswagen, BMW & Mercedes in mind tbh. I did think Audi and that of course also fit because of the 4 circles.
