Ah ok. When I click I get a “this page doesn’t exist” message. Maybe because I don’t have a Twitter account.

I have strongly mixed feelings about Undertaker’s entrance in the modern day as while it was special in its time I feel like it’s paved the way for everyone to have a 5 minute walk out now :joy:

Bad ass

Nobody made wrestling feel more special than JR.

And he’s still got it. It’s a shame he’s wasted in AEW where the talent there doesn’t appreciate it but at least TK takes care of him financially.
Still sad how Vince treated him in his last years there.

Is he still a good commentator? Shame WWE hasn’t tried to pick him back up tbh. I can’t stand Michael Cole.

JR has definitely lost a step since his WWE prime. The passion isn’t quite there, or the suspension of disbelief. But he’s still a top guy in the business from what little I’ve seen of his work in AEW.

Cole has improved quite considerably I think without Vince screaming in his ear the whole show. But he’s just not prime JR. Which is nothing to be ashamed of because nobody is.

He can’t go 2 hours anymore (which is what most shows go on for now) but I still absolutely love him when used for specific matches/segments.

He just knows how to make big moments feel even bigger. His understanding of when to let things breathe, when he needed to speak and what to say is still great. When Punk was there I thought JR added quite a bit to his segments.

What don’t they appreciate?

He’s still used for the big matches on PPV (usually the title matches) and he still adds a sense of importance and gravitas to things. Weird to suggest he’s not appreciated lol when there’s never been any suggestion from anyone he isn’t respected and appreciated.

Do you not remember the whole fiasco where AEW wrestlers got hurt because JR said he doesn’t like that dumb spot where wrestlers stand outside the ring waiting for someone to jump on them?

Underrated match during a crap time in WCW

Yeah vaguely, seems it was a good few years ago from Google and passed without any real incident despite a few comments online though.

That spot is stupid though, the one in TNA the other week when Leon Slater dived off the Ultimate X scaffold and almost everyone missed him looked really bad :trossard2:

Yeah, I came across it because Ricky Morton was criticising it. Kid should consider himself lucky he came out of it fine.

For sure.

Slater is a great talent in the ring, wouldn’t be surprised if he was one of those who eventually featured in the NXT/TNA crossover stuff. His swanton 450 is real nice.

Totally forgot Backlash was today. Build has been has been subpar. I haven’t even check the last two shows, may skim through them ahead of the show.

Want to tune in for Cena v Orton, hopefully they finally have a match to remember, have low expectations though.

WWE from Mania onwards has been awful, I keep forgetting myself that backlash is on. Triple H is really struggling to get hype around PPVs lately

I was keen on the Rollins/Steiner/Heyman alliance but I was bummed when I realised Punk and Roman are taking time off, so really it’ll just be filler till they’re back.

Things probably won’t pick up till summertime.

I think a Mania that is in the discussion to be amongst the worst ever will do that.

Actually that provokes a question for me. Are they still ppvs in the US or just folded into Netflix now?

Still shown on Peacock in the states, but we get it on Netflix
