Nope
Yes, but it was expected tbh. I feel the product overall has slowed down quite a bit since Wrestlemania.
Cody pursuit of the title is always going to be a bigger story than him as champion.
But I think he makes an excellent champion and is the ideal guy to build around.
It’s hard to sustain that level for too long though. The product is in a healthy place and there’s a lot of scope for where they go moving forward.

Yeah. Build to Wrestlemania reached some very high highs, especially with The Rock being involved.
They also haven’t been lucky with injuries. Rollins, Drew, Punk, Rhea, Jimmy Uso, Dom Mysterio and others are out.
Austin kinda had a similar vibe in 98.
Culminated in WM14, but dropped it almost immediately in the First Blood match to set up an intriguing (and perhaps better) storyline than with him as champion.
Nah I don’t agree with that largely because Austin story with being champion and having to knock back the challenges of his evil boss was a far bigger story than his pursuit of the title.
With Cody - his story was winning the title. Everything after that is going to pale in comparison.
Cody is just the cookie cutter WWE babyface. Comes out, says his catchphrases, does nothing of any note and then sometimes gets beaten up to hype his predictable title defence.
I mean, at least he’s not blubbing the moment anyone even vaguely alludes to his Dad anymore. But also, WWE refers to his Dad all the time because despite him being dead, Cody still needs him to stay over.
Backlash turning out a banger show. Crowds outside the US are on another level.

Very good match, I do think the crowd tried to takeover a bit too much.
Great showing for AJ Styles. He’s had a rough last few years but he reminded people he’s one of the best workers of his generation, arguably the best.
