Flair? Iāve always heard Flair was very giving to people.
He was doing 30 minute matches with randos back in the day.
Meltzer, Cornette and others have praised and criticized at the same time for that.

Ric Flair has always been about Ric Flair and nobody else. He never wrestled anyone to be charitable and he certainly possessed a knack for holding younger guys down so he could stay on top well after his prime.
You see it now when he talks about Charlotte, and he sees how she is treated as him being treated well or badly.

If weāre talking old school he didnāt want to drop the title to Lex Luger while he was part of the booking committee but Jim Herd was fucking wrong on that one anyway lol.
He definitely had squat power during Bischoff/Hogan WCW and his issues with Jim Herd were so bad he got fired and went to WWF.

When he went to WCW after WWF in the early 90s you can pretty much have your pick of the roster there.
Iām glad his career will sign off on that farce last night. He doesnāt deserve any better.
Selfishly underwhelmed if the big thing is Sasha and Naomi returning.

Thatād be quite big for WWE. AEW must be frustrated, Banks particularly would have really elevated their womens division.

She would, I think there would be demand for Sasha v Jade and Sasha v Britt.
Personally, I wasnāt really thinking from AEWās point of view.
Sasha has already done pretty much everything in WWE, not sure what else is there for her to do.
Ideally, I think she should have put her wrestling career on pause, she should have cashed in on being a hot property nowadays and try her luck in Hollywood. She can then come back later once the landscape chances a bit.
For the surprises on RAW I was moreso thinking of thinking MJF, Gargano, NXT old guard reunion, etc.

I know she has potential to have a career in showbiz generally but I donāt think her star has risen quite that high yet. Baring in mind Iām a big wrestling fan, I genuinely didnāt notice her in Mandalorian.
She also clearly wasnāt done in wrestling before Vince and Johnny Ace pissed her off. I also donāt think sheās ever definitively been the face of the company and I think she needs that under her belt to go on to be a star on the level she wants to be.
She aināt becoming face of the company when Roman is around is she though?
Only Becky managed to do that while Roman was out and her husband was the champion.
I guess Sasha was the face of Smackdown during the pandemic.
I honestly donāt know what else plausible she can do in WWE that will elevate her status.
If she does return I reckon sheāll slot right where she was with Naomi trying to build up the womenās tag division.

Just having a coherent qualification process for a title shot, especially a secondary title, is a step forward.

Could be an opportunity to elevate Ciampa come to think of it. Can see Theory screwing both Ziggler and AJ to further that story and Ciampa can actually start doing something meaningful with Lashley.
Itās a clever bit of booking actually because nobody comes out of a triple threat looking that bad even if they take the pin, and the loser of the main event has still come out on top in a triple threat, and whoever actually challenges Lashley (and probably loses) has obviously had a very strong showing.

Yep. I do love structural shows like this where they make you wanna stick around for the main event.
I think both AEW and moreso WWE have been suspect of having a good first hour and then drop the ball with a lacking main event.
When you produce a 2-3 hour show you gotta make people wanna stick around for the end. Give them some sort of reason. Donāt just give them the good stuff early on and then expect them stick around for a random Otis v KO match that has no real implications.
Three hour Raw is the worst thing ever to happen to WWE television. Thatās why you end up with dross main events. Itās so hard to watch a whole episode. I canāt remember the last time I did. Smackdown on the other hand I watch more or less in itās entirety every week.
