Survivor Series 1988 was one of the best PPVs I can remember.
That Barbarians/Demolition double turn. Wow

Thereās a great bit in the Andre documentary covering the mania match. Well worth a watch if youāve got the network.
As a little kid I was enthralled by LOD. Especially the summerslam 92 entrance.
Whatās the best documentary on the WWE network, would you say? Iāve seen the Andre one. I thought the Monday Night Wars ones but that would inevitably have a Vinnie slant on it.
(āWe won! Haha! History is written by the winnersā)
LoD would be my pick for the tag team of the 90s. Hawk died really early tho sadly, infact a number of the big 90s tag teams have at least one if not both members dead by now, and considering they should all be alive and in their 50s/60s now thatās not good
Would breaking ground be classed as a documentary? If so, that.
Sting: Into the light (is that on there?) is really good.
Itās sad to learn of the problems a lot of these guys have not only in later life but also the pain and addictions the business caused while they were active.
Is the Bret Hart one on there? The Storyville one?
Wrestling With Shadows?
Louis Thereux made a good episode about wrestling during his weird weekends series.
If anyone happens to come across it online then please share. Been yonks since Iāve watched it
I think itās on Netflix, Iāve definitely watched his Weird Weekends on there at some point, but couldnāt swear that they are all still up.
I got his autobigoraphy/career memoir on Audible, read by him, itās great if youāre a big fan of his work as he basically recounts all of his documentaries and you get a lot of behind the scenes info which is fascinating if youāre interested in his process.
Loved his wrestling episode. It was pre-WWE and everyone was still pretending it was real
That bloke Sarg really is a horrible bully lol. Loved that episode too
Itās actually on the iPlayer
Pretty sure it wasnāt the last time I had a search for it a few years back.
Watched the first few minutes. Goldberg spitting inside a corridor filthy.
I think he took exception to LTās questioning after the nitro he attended and decided to go extra hard on him
One of those old school types that took any accusation of wrestling being fake seriously
Ah, glad you found it. I just went onto Netflix to confirm for you, not that it matters now, but it is still on there
Is there quite a bit of LTās work on there? Heās gone some really good stuff over the years.
I think Iām gonna check out his book you mentioned as well.
Iām late to the game on the lists but definitely want to throw my opinion in.
Really interesting reading everyoneās lists because obviously what you consider to be a great wrestler depends on what you put emphasis on. For some itās all about ability in the ring, but for me itās all about how entertaining a wrestler is and how invested I get in the character, and although the in ring athletic ability is a big part of that itās not the be all and end all for me.
I went through a long period of not being able to watch in the late 90s so the heyday of Bret Hart, Razor Ramon etc kind of passed me by. I included Bayley who wonāt be on anyone elseās list because her match with Sasha and her subsequent title reign really got me into NXT which has been where a lot of the wrestling Iāve really enjoyed in recent years has come from.
Not getting the love he deserves. He just managed to live long enough to see himself inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Hereās one for you all:
Who do you think will make up your top 10, from the current lot and those emerging, over the next ten years?
