She didn’t know how to react to it. He did it with Regal too when they were commentary as well I believe? And I’m not gonna spoil Dynamite to you but he may or may not have done it there too.

CM Punk has people believing wrestling is real in 2022. I fucking love it.

-dinner with my Dad + Dana White, where I got to break the news to Dana about MITB moving to MGM

He went there.

Apparently MJF has no showed a big fan event for AEE ahead of the PPV tonight, raising speculation he might walk out of the the company.

Excuse me, work out of the company :joy:

I was following that as it happened yesterday.
No showed the meet and greet, was allegedly out in a casino when it was happening, a flight was booked for him out of Vegas, there were reports that he’s been very unhappy, he and Tony who used to be very close apparently fell out, he wants more money, AEW approached him to give him top money but he doesn’t want to talk to AEW, everyone was convinced it was a shoot until people started second guessing themselves.
And when I say people I’m talking about reporter SRS, Mike Johnson. They went from “this is not a work” to “well, it could turn into a work”.
Now the story in wrestling is, “Will MJF show up at Double Or Nothing?”

He became unhappy recently but without clear indication why. If it’s really just about money, if he simply wants out, or a combination of things. People who are close to him don’t really know what’s up with him, some are convinced it’s all an elaborate work and some he’s genuinely unhappy and wants out.
That’s the thing with MJF though, he blurred the lines between shoot and work so much you have no idea what’s actually going on? Even people close to him.

I low-key love this chaos factor around AEW right now. I think wrestling thrives when you really don’t know what is real and what is not.

Btw, this cracked me up:

Actually watching Double or Nothing lol

You can tell this MJF match is punishment lol

Love it so far. Awesome entrances for Ruby and Britt.
How are you finding it?

I turned it off for now. Got up to Joe vs Adam Cole, probably catch the rest tomorrow

Just seen Punk won the title. People on the insta comments are fuming about it saying he’s over the hill

Man, this PPV was bananas. It’s long, I think their longest to date by some margin. So much to digest too.
There was a period where the crowd got fatigued midway through for like 20-30 minutes but then a certain “wild” thing happened that kicked the crowd into their second gear and they were even louder than before.

What happened?

Depends on where you’ve seen it.

Crowd was nuts in the main event. Proper big fight feel. Both cheered/booed in different moments but the crowd was rarely silent. Crowd erupted when he pinned Page. A lot of people were seen crying. I think most within the AEW fanbase thought it was time to put the belt on Punk. It didn’t do Page much good being the champion when Punk and Bryan were on the same roster. Btw, that’s the money feud. When it happens I don’t know, but when it does it will be pure gold.

Thunder Rosa and Serena Deeb helped bring the crowd back to life a bit but what really woke them was the Anarchy In the Arena match. Moxley’s entrance theme is Wild Thing by X, they New Jack’ed the match by having the song playing in the background while proper chaos was occurring in the arena. Crowd was going crazy.

Still watching so haven’t read anything above but I really think AEW need this backstage :grinning:

Also, I really wish AEW would stop spamming superkicks :joy:

Can’t wait to watch this today.

Fucking HBK marks.
I swear 90% of the wrestlers today do some variation of Superkick, it often looks like shit and it’s totally useless.

Take fucking notes:

Dolph’s is low-key at least as good as Shawn’s :grinning:

Rikishi’s is the best

Yes, Dolph is the love child of Mr Perfect and Shawn. It’s actually a bit mad how good he is in today’s wrestling context.

Just on the tournament finals at the moment, Adam Cole/Samoa Joe was a predictably enjoyable affair, probably my favourite match so far.
