Brilliant news. Thats all of our key players signed new contracts :red_circle:

Never thought he wouldn’t extend. Good to have it in the bag.

Mikel needs to compound this by letting the shackles off a bit so we can play some soccerball.

Genuinely, this contract signing showcases how good of an option that we are.

Might go and have a wank in the changing room to pay homage. No teammates can be around though.

Just puts to bed all the rubbish about how desperate our players are going to be to leave if we don’t win titles. We’ve managed to tie down our top players and our top young talents.

I think the next 2 years will be very telling imo. By 27/28, if we still haven’t won top honours, I will be very surprised but even more elated if our top players remain (assuming they’re still first-team quality).

Never a doubt Billy would leave like that.

We haven’t won anything yet, but we also have one of the best platform for players to achieve big.

You probably said the same thing two years ago mate

I seem to recall plenty worrying about him leaving now there was ‘never a doubt’ in sight :joy::joy:

Move the goal posts some more.

Personally I expected Saliba to go to Madrid, still expect him to do so at some point, thankfully now it seems it won’t be anytime soon.

However, people don’t realise how attractive playing for Arsenal is right now, despite the lack of top honours recently.
Best club to play for in the best city to live in for rich people(like footballers) in the best league in the world.

He might well still go to Real Madrid but we’ve got him tied down until 2030 so any move before 2028 is not likely unless they pay an unbelievable fee which is not like them these days.

All this means is that we’ve pretty much secured the best of his 20s.

Yeah I will, get over it. Everyone did the same with Harry Kane, till he left for Bayern

Everyone has a limit, players don’t have very long careers. The ambitious ones will eventually move on. So the sooner we win something, the better.

Because they’re comparable, right.
Arsenal have been competing for either the PL or CL in each of the past 3 seasons, starting from the season Saliba came back.
All Spurs have while Kane was there was a fugazi PL title challenge where they finished 3rd and CL final where they got soundly defeated.
