With Mirallas, Richarlison, Bolasie, Onyekuru, Walcott etc etc in that squad they are swamped in that department

We got that midfielder though. We had a lot of centre backs on the books. I think the wish to leave from Koscielny probably has accelerated the search, but a centre back wasn’t really needed.

Zaha is going to tank hard if he goes to Everton.

Zaha going to Everton doesn’t make much sense, when if he waits 12 months he goes to Chelsea, unless they up his wage significantly. He already has a big wage though, so why goto Everton?

This guy is a joke, he is gonna go to everton on a long contract then not like it, more than likely wont be successful neither will everton then he will bitch and moan that he wants to be in a team that is in the CL and matches his ambitions. Then why did you sign ANOTHER 5 year contract at a team which you are not guaranteed any success with and then expect a team to come in for you when you just left for £70m and they will want more than that because you are on a long contract.
If he goes to Everton I can’t see how you’d think any of that applies.
because he throws his strops to get moves. When he was at Manu he didnt get a chance threw a strop he ended up at palace…doesnt wanna be at palace so he will end up at everton a club that i cant see going anywhere very fast so i wanna know how quick he is gonna get fed up there and want a move to a club that is worthy of his attributes.
I’ve not seen anything this window that’s suggesting he’s stropping to get a move, other than pure conjecture.

This time he formally submitted a transfer request (apparently). That’s about as unstroppy as you can get.
Don’t remember any strops at united (wouldn’t have been paying attention in fairness) but he was barely there 6 months when he went on loan if I remember correctly. Stories at the time indicated there was very different reasons for him leaving…
