Who would you like to replace Arsène Wenger?

It really isn’t but I am happy to leave you have your own opinion. :+1:

Ha OK, you’ve got nothing to rebutt so now it’s my “own opinion”.

Gotcha.

Didn’t take you as the childish type.

There’s plenty to “rebutt”, just not worthy. When someone speaks of documentation and backs that up by saying: “it’s been written about by some sports journalists” then it really isn’t worth it someone else’s time.

Cya.

Childish? Please. It’s been written by journalists in very reputable publications such as Kicker and also supported by Bayern president Uli Hoeness that states multiple players were against him which is mostly due to his methods.

We aren’t talking twitter ITK bullshit here.

So what do you know about his methods exactly? Other than that Bayern FC players and president didn’t like them? Or at least that you read that somewhere…

but can he coach a defense?

Loved the way Shakhtar played in the Champions League so i wouldn’t be against his appointment.

I don’t know what it is, but I like reading about football manager’s journeys, especially when I’ve never heard of them. Bela Guttmann has a brilliant life/football story… I’d never heard of him until someone mentioned him on here, I think it may have been @Joshua ?

EDIT:

Yep, just searched, it was Josh.

Documented by bullshit artists then

If you say so.

Why are they bullshit artists? Because they’re sports journalists? I suppose every football article is now null and void.

Balague is full of it.

I thought Spielverlagerung’s piece on Fonseca was good

But that just blew it out the water, great stuff, thanks for that :+1:.

He basically got handed Monaco to him AFTER the investor left and he was forced to use young cheap players. the 2015 chl exit against his Monaco side suggest his focus on defensive organisation too which we all now is essential with this Arsenal team.

I think you’ll find the board will get someone well off the radar who is going about their managerial career quietly. They’ll probably be German .

I’m ready to know who our next manager is going to be.

Enrique off because he is being greedy with salary demands and transfer budget expectations.

Arsenal turning their eyes towards Jardim.

Also some twitter bollocks about Josh Kroenke meeting Allegri next month too.

Also the odds on Allegri have slashed rapidly and he is not the bookies favourite to get the job (@Leper :henry2:)

Well yea most spend their time coming up with all kinds of stories that never come to fruition and never have any substance.

Just think of how many transfer stories are bullshit and apply the same level of accuracy to anything else they write.

After having read that piece it seems like he implemented succesfully at Shaktar what Wenger has been trying to do for nine years. Although it helps a lot that they are at the absolute top of the Ukrainian football food chain.

There may well be some validity to the criticisms of Ancelotti’s methods at Bayern but his success is because his methods have been largely successful everywhere he’s gone.

Just to reiterate I don’t want Ancelotti as I genuinely believe there are better candidates out there I’m just not supportive of the over the top criticism of his methods based on one spell at Bayern where he just clearly didn’t win the players over. It happens to ever manager.
