What's the last video game you played?

Yea, I reckon it’s probably more than that but depending on what your requirements are I can spec it for you if you need any help.

Putting a heat sink in is really easy though mate:

Lift up leaver on motherboards CPU holder
Put in CPU
Pull down level to lock in place
Put thermal paste on CPU
Put heat sink on top
Screw heat sink onto motherboard with the screws in the heatsink.
Attach heatsink power wire to motherboard

Hey presto you’re done.

Hahaha so true, unfortunately my PC master race days are behind me. Haven’t had a proper gaming PC since 2014, which I will admit I rarely got to use looked sick though with crossfire AMD 290x cards, liquid cooled and lighted. Will find a picture and upload.

But honestly, I’ve always been a laptop guy. The GTX 10 series changed everything for laptop gaming, it was inevitable but it was crazy to have a laptop card that was only 10-15% less powerful than its desktop counterpart especially when they came in MacBook Pro compactness.

290x in crossfire, that must of been a suana. As it is my rooms about 10 degrees higher with my Vega.

Yep I also Overclocked the CPU, that’s why I went with the liquid cooling. Unfortunately I didn’t have the red dye so had to go with the orange and black instead of the Red and black.

See if I can find anymore pictures of the build. Had really annoying power issues and so many crashes. Still never used as much as I could have and ended up donating it to a friend who works in graphics design.

Edit: this is what the back had to look like for the front to look good

This is a certainly a labour of love mate and very tidy. Mine is £20 case with both sides missing and a shambles of cable management

What PSU did you have running it and did you measure how much power you were drawing. I just looked it up and it reckons a 290x crossfire rig runs 720 watts under load

I imagine crossfire became a headache in loads of titles. Although you’ve now got me wondering if I should pick up a second Vega for crossfire…

Yeah I was using a Corsair RM 1000, I need find a better picture of it in all of its glory. But yeah took me a while to get all the wiring I’m way to OCD to not. Back then Nvidia’s software was really good and AMD’s was garbage which like you said made running games in crossfire a real nightmare. Honestly I wouldn’t recommend it bro, the performance gains aren’t really worth it in my opinion and the Vega is already beastly.

anyone got a win on fall guys yet?

Nope

I only have that win 1 still, made it to loads of finals but never won again

The career mode on UFC 4 is class.

If you leave it on hard or legendary it’s a pretty realistic challenge which I’ve always found hard to achieve offline for sports games tbh. Genuinely felt the nerves for my UFC debut even though it was against a 40 year old veteran on his last legs lol. That’s all anyone wants to feel in a career mode really and they achieve it the right way.

The great thing is I could easily not make it to the top and fail miserably. Pay is very realistic to what the fighters get too.

It’s a disgrace that EA Sports refuse to give the same depth and focus to FIFA’s career mode year after year.

I won my first yesterday then won again today. Was literally doing my head in, got to so many finals but nerves/bullshit got to me. Actually had one where I touched the crown first on fall mountain with R2 only for it not to register and the guy behind me won it.

I loved the madness of the game at the start and how it wasn’t really based around skill but as I’ve played more and more of it the defining factor seems to be how close you live to the servers and what your lag is like. Don’t even get me started on the latency in the tail games.

I downloaded Sniper Elite 4 the other day. Pretty much what you’d expect from a game called that. I do like that you can opt for your machine gun, pistol or melee kills as well, makes the game a bit more three dimensional than it would be if it was just you sat in a nest picking off targets, like the sniper maps on Hitman (which I do very much enjoy, I’ll add)

Its not in the same class at all, and is different in many ways, but it does slightly remind me of Hitman in some respects, and might be a good option for people who like Hitman but have got all the value they can out of it (not that I’m sure that’s possible)

Also, and this is just my perspective, I’m actually quite enjoying a return to a World War 2 setting. It got super stale when almost every FPS was set in WW2 in the PS2 days, but I’ve personally not played one of those for at least fifteen years, so I’m enjoying this being set in war time Italy.

Just as well that it is WW2 based, because the kill cam would be verging on stomach churning if it weren’t Nazi brain matter and skull fragments flying all over the place in slow motion.

Troy Total War was free on release day.

Really good game. Love me a bargain.

If you like your stealth hard, Sniper Elite 2 and 3 are much tougher than 4. All are set in WW2 but 3 is set in North Africa giving it a different feel. Dishonered series and Thief series are also worth a look.

I’ll see how I go with 4, not against trying earlier entries in the series at a later date. Thief I have played, well, the Xbox 360 version anyway which I know a few turned their noses up at. But I liked it. Dishonoured is one of those I’ve just never paid attention to, but it does look like it’d be up my street. Ta for the recos

got 3 wins now but could have been way more

I’m on 3 too but starting to fall out of love with the game. Needs more game modes and less shit ones like jynx and trail grab.

season 2 starts in about 40 something days

Will they change the races? I hope I’m still interested by then.

What the hell is this game you guys are talking about?
