It’s in their DNA.
I like the potters but only once a year.
As an adult I do find it bit strange watching terrible children acting next to a galacticos XI of British actors.
love watching all the harry potter films in a short space of time, once a year for me
also when I saw the second film as a kid at the cinema, my friend from school went along with me and my mum and we both ended up having nightmares because of the giant basilisk, neither of us could sleep
ahh great memories

What a film.
Jojo Rabbit
Great film, go watch it.
Watched Flipped on Netflix yesterday.
Characters were kids & storyline was based around them but the message was great.
Knives Out on Amazon Prime.
Excellent cast, a very enjoyable homage/pastiche of Agatha Christie novels.
Daniel Craig was really good, even if on several occasions he crossed the line into sounding like he was doing an impersonation of Kevin Spacey playing Frank Underwood
Well worth a watch.
I thought this was a let down, I had such high hopes for it but something just didn’t feel right. I don’t know if it’s because so much was revealed so early and then the later reveal felt convoluted.
Fantastic cast though, and brilliant setting I just wish it was a little edgier, felt it played some things too safe.
Agree. Knives Out had all of the aesthetics but little in the ways of plot, character development and execution.
I was genuinely excited to see this movie. It sucks how forgettable it was.
Right, well if anyone wants to take issue with my latest choice of film, in advance kindly please go fuck yourself.
JOHN WICK.
Honestly, how have I not seen this film til now?! Best action sequences I’ve probably seen in years, they’re wonderfully directed, to the point of being almost balletic at times.
One of my favourite scenes:
This scene in particular was wonderfully shot, gorgeous lighting, great choice of soundtrack. Brilliant.
How the fuck have you been missing out on John Wick these last 6 years?!?
There’s 3 of them lol and they’ve greenlit a 4th and 5th as well
Watched a very interesting and engaging documentary called “the devil next door” on Netflix. A Ukrainian immigrant is extradited from the US to Israel to stand trial as a Nazi war criminal, only problem is no one is one hundred percent sure wether he is actually Ivan the Terrible, a notorious guard at camp from Poland or if it is a case of mistaken identity! The documentary is 5 parts and really does keep you on edge as it follows the trial and keeps you guessing as to whether the guy is innocent or guilty, you don’t find out the truth until the very end.
I have to say I’ve always personally been a very big admirer of Israel, and what they’ve managed to achieve in such a short period of time, despite being surrounded by enemies and at constant war, their contribution in the medical and technological field is really pretty unparalleled however after watching this my estimation of the state Israel further increased, the fact they gave a guy who they suspected of being a major Nazi war criminal a fair trial was very impressive, anyway I won’t spoil it for anyone who wants to watch it. Definitely worth a watch in my opinion.
John Wick is legit man, there’s no issue here.
I was late to the game too. I remember seeing the trailer in the cinemas with my friends. I dug it but they weren’t very impressed. The cheeky bastards actually went and watched it without me when it was released as I was away at the time.
I was so sour I couldn’t watch it for years. I finally went back and watched it 2-3 years ago and it was fucking great. The sequels are top notch too.
I think for a long time I just assumed that this film was just another average action flick, not something really worthy of any attention, a bit like you can pretty much safely ignore anything with Liam Neeson as the leading man post Taken.
I know what sort of film noob is only watching this now. Even worse than liking Knives Out.
Just love the John Wick series. Haven’t seen such amazing gun fight scenes since some of the early John Woo movies. And Keanu is just the perfect actor for this character, no hang ups, no drama, just calmly efficient.
Yeah, it was hard not to think of John Woo a lot while watching. Which I mean in a good way rather than to denigrate it as derivative.
The African Doctor
Cute movie
Currently watching the series Rig 45 with my wife.
@Cristo we had a question for you. The characters speak Norwegian, Swedish and Danish to each other periodically throughout but rarely speak the same language (i.e.: someone speaks Danish but gets a response in Swedish). Are the languages that close to be compatible or is everyone just smarter than Americans and learns multiple languages?
