I was, unintentionally, giving a lot of spoilers for Ozark until Jakey, rightly, told me off lol
@Stroller how can the Long Good Friday not be on on Good Friday?
Currently working my way through Monk when my toddler doesn’t have Peter Pan on.
There’s actually so much stuff to watch on Netflix
I can now see why its all people watch lol.
Watching Jack Whitehall travels with my father now. As he’s a gooner and funny as fuck His dad is funny in a pensioners way aswell.
smh
I am going to watch serious stuff as well haha. I have that and still game to coincide with my Netflix original drama’s About to start season two of sex education then I’ll move on to another.
Travels With My Father is so good!
It’s actually really touching, certainly made me appreciate my relationship with my dad.
I’m a big fan of that show!
World cup rewind. Some classic games. Really enjoyed Italy v Germany 1970 and Brazil v France 86.
I was watching it thinking it’s an absolute travesty that the next world cup isn’t being held in the summer.
I just liked watching teams having distinctive styles and individuals. Not predictable robotic Duracell bunnies running around everywhere.
I watched LA 92 last night on Netflix, its a documentary film about the Rodney King assault/trial and the subsequent LA riots. There’s no narration, no talking heads, just news footage and footage filmed out in the midst of the riots.
It really was brilliant, very powerful. It also felt very balanced. You finish the film in no doubt as to what lead to the riot, but it absolutely pulls no punches in terms of showing the brutality and senselessness of the violence perpetrated by the rioters, the awful devastation caused to their own communities.
I’d obviously heard about Rodney King and the riots, but I had no idea of the scale of it, of how widespread the rioting and fires were across the city, how the national guard had to come in, which the film really brings home.
Definite recommendation.
Just downloading Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, finally gonna get round to watching that tonight.
I can’t watch LA92 again. That part where they drag that innocent white truck driver out of his truck still resonates terrifyingly with me.
That did stand out as a particularly brutal moment, in a film that wasn’t short on them. It’s a mental image that will stay with me for a while, that’s for sure.
Anyone got any decent Disney+ recommendations? There’s the obvious pixar/marvel/star wars/simpsons stuff. Looking for the more obscure stuff.
To me the only thing worth it on Disney+ is the Mandalorian and Clone Wars/Rebels.
I grabbed the free trial and cancelled it as soon as I’d watched as much of those as possible.
Just finished travels with my father season 1.
@Cristo @JakeyBoy you massive snob
Really enjoyed it and being able to see places in the world I’ll never see. Parts of Thailand were stunning.
Wasn’t a fan of Cambodia with their live markets… Fucking hell they’re all at it the disgusting pricks
Looking forward to starting season 2 tomorrow
I been watching the imagieering story
Weekly show on how the Disney parks were created. Love all the details that went into creating the parks and how much the had to change for euro Disney for it to fit into the culture of France.
I take it you’re not calling me a snob as I love the show!!
Winston is my favourite.
And yeah the Thailand episode is just great.
Of course you love the show, Michael Whitehall is probably one of your neighbours
Nah I liked the show too too be fair, I even bought the book the two of them did together.
There’s a book?!?
