What are you watching?

His and Hers new Netflix thriller from the book of the same name.

Wow incredible I watched all 6 over last night and tonight. Best thing I have watched in ages :clap:

Hoping to get started on the new Spartacus soon.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has been great so far. Absolutely loving this more light-hearted, sweet and comedic jaunt through Westeros.

Im going to give this a go.

Never watched Game of Thrones but like how the adverts showed this as a bit lighter with some comedy value.

We’re just finishing up the Harlan Coben RUN AWAY. Really enjoyed it and sorta makes me wanna read the book.

Harlan Coben runaway hit, RUN AWAY

Have a few days off and watching LOTR trilogy (again) since yesterday. Halfway through the two towers, and a good reminder of what a true masterpiece this is. Probably the greatest trilogy ever made.

Dude managing to get cancelled as soon as we got rumours about him and Michael Bay returning to Transformers. Yes, I enjoy Michael Bay movie slop.

Been to quite a few countries in the world so far, but yet to visit this one with whom mine shares a border :joy: looks pretty spectacular(and heard the same from those who’ve visited)… planning to visit sometime soon

The Cuphead Show.

I remember seeing a review of the platform game, and would have given it a go but for the rumored difficulty.

I never realized there’s also a TV show - apparently it came out several years ago.

The vintage rubber-hose design aesthetic is my favorite animation style and they’ve made a good job of this show.

Best thing on Netflix amongst a myriad of shite.

Just to add: I’d be interested to hear from anyone who has played the game, and what they thought of it.

I only played abit off the game never finished it. But the art style is fantastic in the game tho it is a frustrating game when it comes to the boss battles

Worth a play if I see it cheap to pick up

Handcuffed on Channel 4…an interesting concept. Opposites shackled together 24/7 with the last pair standing winning £100K.

Watched this last night aswell some of the couples are actually interesting just a shame some of them already gave in.

Stranger Things

I’ve managed to binge watch all 5 series over the last couple of months. Overall, a very entertaining series with an excellent cast, particularly the youngsters who really make it so enjoyable to watch. As an 80s kid myself, I loved the nostalgia and have a new appreciation for Kate Bush…if you have seen the series you will know what I am referring to!

The first season was by far the best IMO. The second was still very good. The third was pretty poor, and then they recover it for the fourth and fifth series.

My main issue throughout though, was it borrows significantly from other films. The first season is heavily influenced by Stand By Me, The Goonies, E.T. and Poltergeist, then when we get to Series 4 and when Vecna turns up it is so clear that he is basically Freddy Krueger from Nightmare on Elm Street and they essentially take the plot from this too. Plenty of other references to other films too, including Aliens. While the creators are clearly lovers of this period, I would have preferred something more original. That said, I would highly recommend it to anyone who hasn’t seen it, particularly the the first series, which even if you just watch this and then stop, is still well worth your time.

This Life

A classic 90s TV series, and one of my personal favourites. Both series have been added to BBC iPlayer. Would highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t seen it before.

Not only that I’d say the Vecna arc borrows a lot from It too.

Man, you’re so lucky to get to watch that for the first time, wish I could selectively wipe my memory and do the same.
