We didn’t finish top 4 (2021/22)

I think the critical thing for us is not going into that Spurs game needing to win.

The pressure would be mad and an early Son goal would crush us.

Needing a draw would be much nicer, better yet have them Cunts needing the win.

I think even a draw at the toilet bowl would be enough as long as we win at least 2 of our remaining 4

Yup Leicester, Arsenal, Liverpool. I hope they lose them all

Me too, quite glad where sky positioned that game now cos we could be clear enough to only need a draw by then.

Wouldn’t want us to play for a draw obviously but just having that knowledge will take pressure off.

Yeah would honestly prefer to play for a win, it’s just our recent record away to them haven’t been the best

Apart from the NLD, the game away to Newcastle is easily the most difficult.

Their home record is one of the best in the PL.
In their last eleven games they’ve only lost to Man City and have won all of their last six home matches.

We’re often in the race for the top four but this season has been one of the closest and most exciting.

We have West Ham away next

do we have chances?

I think they will be focusing more on the EL semi final than us.
They’re not getting top four so the best chance they have of getting CL football is winning that.

But will they want to blow Europe completely? What if they don’t win the EL and finish 7th/8th

Aren’t they fucked in defense due to injuries? Don’t think they have the privilege to play all 3 games at full strength

Got Chelsea tomorrow as well, be hilarious if they can win that.

If Brentford get something against spurs then it’s back in our hands.
It will be interesting to see if Eriksen plays against his old team.

Spurs not being in the CL,Conte off to PSG,so glad I don’t have any envy towards them.

This is what I’ve decided today.

I was on suicide watch after those three consecutive losses, then we go and beat Chelsea away and United at home by a combined four goal fucking margin, in two utterly ridiculous matches.

I thought top four was dead and buried, two games later and it feels like its bang on again lol

I need to just let it wash over me and take each game as it comes, cos fuck knows what the next match has in store for us.

Absolutely man, it’s actually been a season of massive ups and downs and I’ve been saying from the very start that a lot can change in a short space of time for this team. I’ve realized that it’s completely pointless to try and predict what’s going on because from GW1 we’ve had disaster, to steadying the ship to a disastrous January to good run to a bad run to this point here- where we’ve beat two of our biggest rivals home and away in the space of half a week.

It just is what it is right now, we have a young inexperienced manager and a young inexperienced squad, there’s a reason we aren’t competing for top 3. There is still massive room to grow at every department within the club.

You are right though those last few defeats really stung mentally because it looked like our chance at Cl was truly in our favour but as shown, we simply aren’t good enough as a team to expect it without a fight. What will be will be, I will say one thing though, I really enjoy being in with a shout for the Cl and I’ve enjoyed this season immensly despite all the ups and down.

It’s been the most I’ve cared about our league campaign since the Leicester title year, and well that’s something. If we don’t get CL this season I’m going to be really hurt, I am, and I’m sure it will be easy to look back at individual defeats and lament, but truthfully I think I’ll just put my energy into the summer and hope we build a squad that’s a little less rough around the edges.

I’ve heard some asking about a title challenge if we have a good summer but honestly I’d settle for just cutting months like the opening one and January out of our seasons and trying to focus in on more consistency as a squad.

Lose 3 winnable games then beat Chelsea and United. This team is no good for my blood pressure

The poor lass who was gonna get a stroke doesn’t know what to feel either.

i am hoping that the spuds will be stupid enough to expend a LOT of energy in the liverpool game only to still lose an it fatigues them for their match with us.
