We didn’t finish top 4 (2021/22)

66 points mate 4 points ahead of 4th. I wanted to cry

I enjoy every Arsenal win, but some I enjoy more than others e.g. I enjoyed winning at Villa a few weeks back more than I enjoyed tonight.

It’s all about context. Against Villa it felt like we were bagging tough away wins when the pressure was on, tonight it felt like we’d shit the bed so much that that pressure was now mostly gone.

In reality we are back in the mix and obviously any time we dick down those filthy Chelsea fucks is great, but I’m also very ready for us to come in on the weekend and flop at home to United.

If we get 4/6 from United and West Ham then the NLD will be absolutely bonkers.

Sounds about right. We’ll beat United but the best I can see us getting at that shithole that isnt west or east or even wafer thin ham is a draw.

They do have the EL SF either side I think, so I’m praying that helps us

Feel like we always despatch West Ham, would be much more worried about Ronaldo FC.

Personally dont think Ronaldo will be playing again

Yeah thats way to soon. No way is he in the right frame of mind to go back to playing football after such a tragic event

Can’t sleep because this information is still on my mind…

Damn @Castiel check out these cold, sterile fans that are still upset we bungled our previous 3 games

A couple of weeks back there was potential to seal it without the NLD being a factor. Now if we are to get Top 4 we would need a result in that fixture, at least a draw.

If we had just got even a draw from any of those matches we we’d be ahead of spurs but because their goal difference is eight more, we need an extra point.
So with the top four race being so close, it could come down to this.

Tbf I think they will slip again. We just need to be in a good position to exploit that. The NLD still doesn’t have the deciding factor and I gave a big feeling it wont :wenger2:

As I said before, it’s going to be close so because of their superior goal difference, we will need to beat them in the NLD, even if they lose to Liverpool.

Also, their last two games couldn’t be easier if they hand picked them, Burnley and Norwich, who are likely to have already been relegated.

What’s annoying is in that run where Spurs accumulated 10+ goals to their GD, they were playing teams that defended very naively, giving them all the space they crave.

When a team like Brighton, who don’t have to be a top side, defend smart then it’s possible to restrict the team + hope Kane and Son have an off day in terms of producing from few opportunities.

So their run-in looks easy on paper, but there are blueprints to restrict their side. Just don’t need their remaining opposition to lie down. And I don’t think Brentford will :crossed_fingers:

Yep and it is the hope that kills you…

What’s annoying is that after we’d played 26 games we had 51 points, it was always almost certain 70 would be enough for 4th.

19 points from 12 games, hardly a difficult task, just becomes difficult when you drop consecutive games to palace, Brighton and Southampton.

4 wins from our last 6 should be enough. Assuming one of those 4 is against the scum.
