Brilliant how the deal went in the end…
Apparently Sporting weren’t obliged to pay that 10% provision to Gyokeres’ agent because we managed not to agree on these new bigger demandy by Sporting (70+10M) where the provision would have to be paid and the whole transfer would be much bigger for us in the end.
The agent could have played for that bigger fee to get his compensation, which isn’t small, but he respected Gyokeres in the first place and his strong desire to make the deal as easy as it gets.
I think in end you can conclude what a MASSIVE competitive monster Gyokeres is, as it seemed seeing him in Sporting. You could imagine many players in his case only pushing for a bigger salary, which he could have done if he decided to dance around our and United’s offer.
But you can see he’s out there to win stuff. I don’t see this as a sign of love towards Arsenal, I see no reason for it, but his competitive attitude is massive.
Loved that HUNGER (that’s why I thought the mask represented Hannibal Lecter initially lol) he has shown in those first videos I saw of him… That’s a bigger thing he’ll bring that some joga bonito touches etc. And of course, goals, goals, goals…
