Have to give him this, for all the shitting on the transition goals. We had plenty of moments today after going a goal up where we could hit them on the break but our players didn’t have the legs to run into space.
This seems to be this Viktor’s trademark, if he can do that here he can certainly help us finish off a lot of games.

Been saying this for ages. It’s my main gripe with Trossard but while Martinelli has the pace he either doesn’t use it or trips over his feet.
We have zero counter game at the moment and we have plenty of opportunities for it even if people want to suggest otherwise.

Literally happened twice today. I don’t want to be too harsh on him because he is one of our hardest workers in the team but these opportunities need to be his bread and butter, the winner against Madrid was the best example.
I do hope come next season with an adequate competition, we’ll see a fresher Martinelli punish teams more on the counter.

Like clockwork, watching Romano’s latest video and he says €60-65m euros. The price indeed keeps going down.
Worth mentioning that he said PL is the likeliest destination with Arsenal and Man Utd being strongly interested.
I thought Man Utd were getting Delap, I wonder if Ruben will try to get his man instead if they win the EL.
I find it a bit strange Liverpool aren’t in the mix. He looks perfect for their style.

If he goes to anyone other than us for me United makes the most sense by far.

Unsure if their current ownership works this way but the previous ownership had no problem offering OTT fees and wages to get their man.

A top striker should back himself but you never know. Sesko for example wasn’t happy with this proposition last summer.
nah no way…they scammed their way to the CL if that is the case they are relegation fodder even with multiple strikers. He isnt gonna fix that crap. Here we hit 2nd 3 years in a row and a striker like him could get us over the line. So he can go there be mid table at best or possibly be winning something in his 1st season.

Upon second thought, Saka’s probably the only one I think would make it to 20 or more league goals there.
I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt because I don’t you’re familiar with the league but I urge you to check some of the top scorers in that league over the years.
Don’t let the likes of Benfica, Porto, Sporting and perhaps Braga too fool you. Rest of the league ain’t loaded like that.
Most of those teams operate on a dirt poor budget, they wouldn’t even be able to put a fight in Conference League if they made it there.

You realize that Bas Dost hit 34 and 27 the two full seasons he played in that league?
And that Darwin banged in 26 in a season he only started 24 matches?
Havertz, Jesus (when he was fit), Saka, Martinelli would all be absolute goal machines in Portugal lol. You’re talking about guys that hit 15 goals in the English premier league and you’re doubting they’d be able to hit 20+ goals in an awful league?

Maybe you’re right, but I wonder how much of is to do with the opposition of the league vs the player themselves vs our style of play.
He’s got 8 goals in 24 starts playing in the toughest league in the world there’s no way he’s not smashing them in over in Portugal. All that space for him to run into? He is killing that league
