Viktor Gyökeres | SIGNED

It isn’t very obvious. It is just nonsense.

Sure it is

We are a far more press-oriented team than Newcastle is, especially the front line particularly CF

Isak with the workload Havertz gets through would possibly perhaps even likely crack under the strain

But since you have this weird tendency to talk down anything related to Gyokeres I wouldn’t expect you you to factor this in, you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about and it’s beyond nauseating at this stage.

Go get Ndicka.
We need another center back

This transfer window needs to start and end.

Window closes on 1st September…going to be a long 3 months. Hopefully we get our business done early.

Things need to happen for us now.

Time to walk the walk instead of talking the talk.

Been a young side and first challenged for the league in 22/23 and had a couple of years in the CL gaining experience making a QF and SF.

Need a PL or CL in the next 2 seasons or I don’t think it happens.

I’m finished.

Don’t think so mate.

Hope the smoke isn’t rubbish and we end up getting gazumped by some other fucker. This all looks promising though.

We get as much of our business done early and everyone gets a good pre-season together for a change. Worry about sanctioning sales after we have brought in who we need to - I am full on board with that, Mr. Berta.

I think if Gyokeres is our guy, I’m expecting 20+ league goals as a bare minimum from him. No fannying around here.

And the first non English tweet without a translation of the summer.

Fuck transfers.

At least we know he’s in top form, smashing in 38 buts this season.

Its extremely easy to highlight it and your phone will translate it for you :person_shrugging:

Special achievement regardless if he’s going to show it one the next level. Even if they are a lot of penalties.

I’ll be honest, I’m quite shocked at the discourse criticizing the Gyok transfer.

I don’t fancy any of our guys to even score 20 league goals in Portugal.

The EPL has some mighty shit defences too.

If we sort out our creative outlet issues, I don’t see any reason besides injury that would prevent him from scoring 30+ in all comps.

Didn’t players like Ronaldo and Nani come from Sporting/Portugal too? The same Portugal that won the Euros in 2016? Didn’t most of their players emerge from their league?

I don’t think we can afford to be snooty when all our guys can’t hit a fucking barn door, and the only other available option is a lanky, injury prone guy from Sweden that’ll cost almost twice the money.

If it takes a £70m striker to win us something big and then we need to replace him in two years, I wouldn’t mind.

Just get it done.

It’s true that the Portuguese league might not be as strong as the PL but because he’s the best striker, he’s going to have defenders all over him every game.

Gyokeres playing for us, with Saka and a top quality LW, might give him and the rest of our attack more space because defenders will be more reluctant to double up on Saka.

Nearly 80 goal contributions over a season is wild. He’s gonna feast here and ease the burden on Saka.

Saka needs attackers that can stand with him shoulder to shoulder and also regularly be difference makers for the team, challenge him in that regard even.

I’m confident he will be that for us

I think concerns about him adapting to PL standards are valid. But its also very hard to argue he shouldn’t be making the step up to a much higher level.

I swear his price keeps going down.
Either this is the steal of the century for us or the biggest scam a Portuguese club ever pulled.
