Upcoming Video Games

Fuck, I missed the PS5 pre-order and gotta wait, wait and wait.

This video gives you a good idea of what to expect in differences between Xbox One X and Series X. The difference will be quite subtle in many games. See Watch Dogs Legion:

Any one playing Watch Dogs Legion? Seen some footage on YouTube and the open world London does look fucking brilliant I must say. That alone will be enough to entertain me for hours I’m sure.

I played some of the first Watch Dogs and thought it was completely meh, but have heard the second was much better, so might be willing to give this a go.

I know it makes me a total basic bitch, but I am quite fond of an Ubisoft open world, even if its stale af at this point for most people.

@arsenescoatmaker what a coincidence, I started this post before yours was even there lol

Didn’t they announce they’re gonna patch GTA V in 2021 for PS5 and Series X?
Yep, probably gonna be a while till we get a sequel.

It’s sad they feel they don’t need to put in the effort for a new game as guess they’re making so much from micro transactions on 5 still. Sign of the times I guess :pensive:

Just got my PS5, loving it so far. PS4 games from 2014 look incredible. Can’t wait to get the PS5 games I also ordered.

Wait, so PS4 games look better as well?!

I played GTA 5 online for a few months, it was fun initially but turned into a grind. I might play the campaign again but online is just a sweaty grind fest at this point.

They’ll be at higher resolution with higher frame rates. Whether they add in the PC textures I’m unsure

EDIT they may increase the field of view too so you see a wider perspective

Yes even old ps4 games you may still have on disk or digital look and play better. There’s a ā€œboostedā€ category of games but I think all that means is touched up to take advantage of PS5 ray tracing etc.

I don’t think they have ray tracing, pretty sure you need to code that. There were only a handful of PC games that had real tracing support up until recently. And most of them did it badly. There’s possibly texture packs though

:man_shrugging: well all I know is the shitty Madden 20 digital version for PS4 I have looks and plays so much better on the PS5. No more players running through each other, thousands of the same fan in the stands, weird ball reception.

Might have to give the Uncharted series another playthrough then!

Yeah, if you missed out on some PS4 bangers can you play on PS5 on boost mode and get stable 60fps and upscaled 4K(still looks great) resolution.
Waited on Ghost of Tsushima for this very reason.

Cold War multiplayer mechanics suck so far and it all feels like a step down from last year’s Modern Warfare. I end up playing more MW now again than CW.

Same as well as Last of Us 2 and a few others. I got 20 PS4 games complementary with my PS5

Playstation is really giving XBOX some stiff competition.

This is also why I’ll eventually go PS5. Having been Xbox for two generations I’ve missed out on some killer exclusives and I’ll get to experience them for the first time with the visual improvements that come with the PS5. Spider-Man is the big one for me, but Uncharted is right up my street for sure (I rinsed all three rebooted Tomb Raider games which was a bit of an Uncharted rip off), The Last of Us and Ghosts of Tsushima are also games/franchises I’m very eager to play.

I’m reluctant to say goodbye to the Xbox controller and my gamerscore of roughly 21,500 but its time I stopped missing out on so many great games.

Xbox 360 was the best console of its generation and had me as a solid customer but I think Microsoft fumbled the ball in subsequent generations.

That sounds like bug fixes though, unless it’s the PS4s shitty CPU. Don’t play games on launch
