All in all that’s a good result for Emery after failed tenures at PSG and Arsenal.
Officially announced as Villarreal boss. Best of luck to him, personally think the Premier League was a league too high for him, think he’ll do fine back in Spain.
Villarreal are about to enter into a period of unprecedented success, even by the standards to which the greatest teams of all time hold themselves to.
As much as I wanted Emery to leave, his lowest PL finish was fifth, with an eleven match winning streak, and he did get to a European final.
Considering he’d never worked in the PL before, it’s not the worst record of a new manager taking over a big club in the PL that was in a mess.
Villareal are about his level and his experience at the top level with PSG and us will be useful.

Knowing us under Emery we’d skipped a division and gone straight to league 1.
