People talk about new manager bounce, what they don’t tell you is that comes out of well coached lads finding a bit of confidence.
Not only did Emery run our confidence to the ground but has completely coached the football out of these lads. Not even autopilot mode. So many seniors too.
Worst thing that has happened to the club. Don’t wanna see the cunt in my life again.
Have fun at Segunda Division you prick.
Nah this is to easy and something that excuses to much.
No coaching set up at this club and nothing strong or structured enough for these young players to aspire too.
You need someone in now otherwise confidence on the young players suffers and bad habits become part of their game.
The surrender man has well and truly destroyed any talents this playing group had.
I mean what do you expect? Losing/drawing to bum sides at the Emirates and acting like all is well and saying our plan worked. WTH?
Mourinho said it best when he was hired, he didn’t want players to think not winning is fine.
We really are far worse than Man Utd post-Fergie ffs.
Worst day in my 20+ years as an Arsenal fan, the Emery hiring.
@Magical wizards
Sounds like a decent match
Didn’t even get our players to a proper fitness level?
What the fuck was he doing?
Been an issue longer than that.
David Luiz basically shitting all over Emery in his post match interview. “Arteta knows his football.” And “When you’re happy in life, you play better.” Translation, this fraud made the team miserable! Luiz also confirmed the players aren’t fit enough – seriously, what was this numpty doing for 18 months?!
Making us a ‘team’ apparently. According to his ramblings.
Thank god that shit is over man, ffs.
This problem pre dates Emery and was a failing though of him to address.
When the Ox joined Liverpool mid season they had to give him the equivalent of a pre season workout.
One of the reasons we used to die in February with Wenger.
Fitness has been an issue for much much longer than Emery’s tenure.
Plus I’m not sure the head coach is genuinely that responsible for fitness as the club would have numerous staff specialising in that.
Although knowing us, maybe we did just hire him to do everything and save cash on actual medical staff.
I think they’re responsible from the point of view of setting some baselines. Professionals or not they have to have something to be working towards so were Wenger and Emery instructive in this in setting what was expected of the players or was it left up in the air like a lot of other things seemed to be.
It has, but a lot of these players also didn’t play under Wenger what’s their excuse?
It has needed rectified for a long time, and when the players learn JdP more it will get easier as they know where to be so they will have to run less as well.
This is the kind of thing Wenger’s successor should have done for us, but we selected the wrong guy for it.
It’s not Emery’s fault, because they don’t need more fitness for his style of play.
But ultimately that’s another reason why he was such a bad hire.
Yup and theres also a pretty well established standard of fitness for professional athletes in this field and as part of that football clubs like us who are with billions invest millions in specialized high quality professionals in that area to ensure the best result.
The manager has a plan and way to play and the fitness should fit that and I’m sure that is part of their day to day regime, but the upper management plays a huge role that endures throughout the club.
Emery still trying to figure out how to defend against the mighty Brighton at Emirates.
That’s down to injuries forcing regular players to play more without rotation rather than general fitness.
