He seemed to have a decent stint at PSV Eindhoven(he actually beat us when we faced them in EL) and he left the role on his own.
Seemed to play a big role in Gakpo’s development there.
I think it was a disservice for him to accept a coaching role at Man Utd but he probably saw it as a way to become the Man Utd head coach, which did happen to be fair.
Probably thought to get a run like Ole though but INEOS secured Erik’s replacement in under a week.
