UEFA Conference League

It’s a slow burner but once you reach the semi final stage go for it.
West Ham have got here fighting relegation. English sides should be going close most seasons.

Always loved the Cup Winners Cup, UEFA Cup and CL.

Obviously CL and Europa are bit more saturated than back in the 90s but still always liked there being 3 European tournaments.

Treated with a lot more prestige in the past too. I remember Arsenal fans scoffing at being in the Europa League but back in the 90s that was a big tournament with very reputable winners. Would still be our biggest European success ever if we actually won it

20, 000 stadium which probably produces a good atmosphere is too low though.

I quite like the more compact stadiums think the noise tends to be held better and much more intimidating atmosphere.

When Juventus built their new stadium and it’s only about 40,000 capacity initially I thought it was small but on certain game days it’s an amazing atmosphere.

As amazing as some of these new stadium designs are I’m a sucker for a compact stadium

Indeed. Bookies have West Ham as very slight favourites, but guess that is down to most British fans not watching Serie A.

But yeah, in terms of the football both teams have played this season, I’d give it to Fiorentina without a doubt. Think the manager is quite under rated, he’s really steadied the ship there.

My gut feel is West Ham are going to send Rice out on an almighty high and this will be the 2nd of 3 European final losses for Italian teams this season.

How? It just adds a layer below so don’t really see what impact it’s had, other than it no longer being the bottom tier.

This years final matchup was no better than any of the previous ones barring the rogue Frankfurt - Rangers final which looks a bit shit on paper, until you see they knocked out Dortmund, Leipzig, Barcelona and West Ham themselves along the way.

Hope fiorentina win anyway, couldn’t get into the lounge at the airport yesterday cos it was full with wet spammers, so fuck em.

Well it previously kept spurs out of the EL and this season kept WH out of it. Clear improvement. :ramsdale:

What airport was you at? I flew from Stansted yesterday and the place was full of them. Saw one group calling themselves the “West Ham massive” And another group/family had had these special tops made up - they were fucking awful!

Stadium isn’t that big though, so must be loads of fans flying over without a ticket.

LMAO, the outrage if Rice ends up here.

“What have they done in the last 20 years?” :joy:

Fucking idiots.

@Stroller has always been spot on about this mob.

Same airport, was there around 5 and had totally forgotten about their game.

One of the lads next to me reckoned about 20,000 going but I can’t believe that. So many without tickets would be mad.

Fucking West Ham fan thinks. . .fuck off and rewatch Green Street again. Kept you relevant for 20 years.

Why are we always the yardstick with TalkSport?

It’s a ridiculous narrative anyway. There are levels to silverware. We didn’t win the Papa John’s Trophy either, I’m so jel of Bolton for that. Wish we’d had their season

30 odd Wet Spammers arrested already.

Fckin Irons.

I read it was 30 fans arrested. And that Fiorentina fans attacked West Ham fans. So it’s probably more likely to be Italians arrested. Though the report I saw didn’t specify.

I stand corrected

So if Bournemouth had won the Comunnity shield this season, would they have had a better season than ours? Absolute bollocks take
