I know I’ve predicted this was gonna happen but it’s just so weird seeing Varane get this treatment.
I don’t think it has to do with egos. Varane is a very quiet dude, almost to a fault. I think Maguire and Evans are preferred because they’re just better on the ball. Varane has regressed as well physically and that used to be one of his strengths. His knees look fucked.
Him and Casemiro need to call it a day and go to Saudi or USA. Or perhaps a return to France and Brazil respectively if they’re willing to take the pay cut.
