Swapping the V for a G makes a big difference.

I don’t need it putting in perspective for me, it’s just a tiny bit annoying to have lost to an inferior French team only to then see Newcastle absolutely batter a better one in PSG.

I don’t think our result is too bad in the scheme of things (yes we could have and should have won). Playing away is much harder, can only really compare when they play at Parc des Princes

TNT’s commentary team complained about it a lot. There is definitely pressure on VAR officials and referees to come to a decision quickly just as much as there is to be accurate. This undoubtedly would have affected the likes of Darren England to rush his response. Yeah yeah check complete check complete. Speaks volumes not just on his incompetence but also the pressure on him. So while the refereeing and VAR culture needs to change, the media and the fans need to pipe down and let the correct decision play out too.
