If Arsenal are serious they’d get both Eze and Leao..honestly..

but they won’t/can’t. None of our wantaways can be sold for appropriate fees for some strange reason.

A feast of a bid for everyone else. Chicken change for our lot.

I don’t get it.

Iā€˜m not sure if it’s the system or the personnel but Arsenal could with some dynamism at left back.

Bring me Nuno Mendes ;).

Lol, I’ve pitched that a couple times in the past but always highlighted him being made of glass as the blocker.
That’s not even the case anymore. We have no chance of getting him now.

You do not understand how much I rate the kid.

Leao is the answer. To our twenty something title drought? Remains to be seen. In terms of adding a spark to our dead attack, absolutely.

Arteta wouldn’t go near him though.

Question is, would Berta?

Portuguese Marcus Rashford.

Pass.

Probably not. Doesn’t strike me as an Atletico type player.

No.

he will play well for 3 months then mess about.

Not in a World Cup year. He’s not a guaranteed starter for Portugal.

ok then he plays well to get to the world cup, then will mess about.

Yep.

We may be able to extract a top season out of him with World Cup in sight and him currently and hin currently being out of favour in the NT. Eventually though Leao will just take the foot off the gas. He always does.

Certainly not a move with long-term viability in mind.

Did notice a big lack of movement the other day when Martinelli cuts inside. He often can’t go anywhere and drops it off 2-3 yards to rice, Zubi or mls but then there’s a huge gap on the wing and nobody running into it.

Kind of by design but it traps us in the middle.

It’s bizarre that Arteta is so wedded to using his full backs in one way.

The biggest criticism I have for a lot of the current crop of coaches is how rigid they are.

I long for the days when Benny Blanco would do overlaps for Saka.

Modern football is getting way more robotic, man. So many patterns at play all the fucking time. Just let the players show their individual magic time to time eh…

Need our next Ashley Cole… tbf, i agree with the point but also think maybe Martinelli isn’t suited to that scenario, so we need both (an overlapping LB, and a LW who can attack the middle effectively sometimes…
