You don’t see the likes of City, Liverpool and Madrid do that. You do see desperate teams like Man Utd and Chelsea do that because they’re shit.
Williams will go to Barcelona. He’s made it clear where he wants to go.
It was that bad…we’ve had to put a huge amount of investment into the squad to get us into a position where we are challenging again, but even with everything we have spent, we need to upgrade in certain positions. We have a quality starting 11, but if we want to win the PL and CL, we need quality throughout the squad.
Replacements required:
- New striker to replace Jesus
- New winger to replace Sterling
- New midfielder to replace either Partey or Jorginho
- New defender to replace either Tomiyasu or Zinchenko
- New backup GK to replace Neto
Jesus and Sterling will be replaced, but I wouldn’t be shocked if it’s by a player that can play both positions.
I think we’ll sign a midfielder but I wouldn’t be shocked if one of Jorginho and Partey get a new short term deal on reasonable wages.
Zinchenko’s replacement is already here, that’s Myles.
There’s a big initiative to use our academy more, even guys like Heaven may be groomed to be that extra defender a la Kiwior.
That Dowman kid will probably have a spot in the squad next season too while they’re trying to tie him down.
I wouldn’t be shocked if Tomiyasu stays beyond next summer. His injury record may make it tough to move him on so I can see sticking with him for a little longer.
We’ll see. Apparently he might be open to a move to the PL next summer.

Whilst City are in a bit of turmoil, we need to strike and be in for the players that they once would have bagged without much competition.
Players like Zubamendi, Musiala, Gyokeres, Kvara, Osimhen, Williams etc will be on the market and whilst the blue boys are broken, we need to strike.
Any two of these would make our attack the best in the PL and although it would cost around 200m we can get close to 80m for Nelson, Jesus and Trossard.
We probably won’t get 40 for Jesus. I’s say 30-35.
Trossard probably 20-25
Reiss, 10-15.

Depends on Saudi with Jesus, I’d assume 25-30m though.
Nelson should get closer to 20m if he keeps up this form at Fulham.
Trossard won’t go anywhere this year, he’s supposed to be getting a new deal or maybe even signed already I can’t remember.

Ademola Lookman. We were prepared to spend over 80m on the Blonde Bitch from the Ukraine- Lookman is on another level to that prick.
Kvara would be first choice followed by Leao, but Lookman is realistic.

The Rob Holding situation just proves how bad we are for holding onto dead weight for no reason other than sentimentality.
Should’ve been sold 5 years ago to somewhere in League 1.
