Thomas Partey

And don’t take shit from United fans. They celebrated playing Ronaldo throughout the 2 stints.

Just don’t believe any PL club would do differently to what we done here.

That doesn’t make it right but any other club or fan calling it out can get fucked.

Mostly the former but who knows about the latter if he does end up getting convicted from these charges

Back at the height of the scandal a while back the arguement from some was that he hadn’t been charged yet and that the club had clearly done all their due diligence, spoken to experts and getting the correct handle on the severity of the charges etc

But now the tone is that the club could’ve only known so much, were almost helpless in the situation and didn’t have much room to maneuver which is just bollocks tbh

Yes it is. We are not obliged to answer to any authority about shit.

Who you worried about coming for us?

To you it is clearly not everyone thinks the same just because they are a fan of the club

As for your second question I’m not worried about anyone coming for us, whatever that means

Finally someone who gets it

Well you seemed to be concerned about us not being able to ‘‘brush this away’’ which would indicate we’ve done something wrong? Who are we having to ‘‘brush this away’’ from?

I don’t think everything was necessarily done right especially in light of him now being charged

And others may feel the same, it’s not just opposing fans

The day finally came eh.

The club are a massive public facing organisation and the expectation is they have been informed heavily from a legal standpoint throughout and not taken any action lightly.

The optics are undeniably awful especially given the timing which makes it look extremely sketchy. Couple it with actions taken regarding other former employees (which despite their moral implications were widely supported by the establishment we’re in) it becomes an even greater eyesore. In the court of public opinion, the club do not stand a chance here.

More information has to be provided and I hope the club are preparing a statement, as well as hopefully the Met (with whom you’d hope the club have worked diligently with throughout the matter) on the specifics of the situation. Because it is genuinely hard to believe a club of this size would receive incredibly incompetent legal advice or receive it and still take an almighty risk to their reputation even with £45m and years of massive salary invested. A lot must have gone on between the state of affairs at the time and during the last 3 years which obviously will be ignored given the official charge. At this point there is still a large amount of assumption and speculation being spread.

Huge if - but if it transpires the club have acted regretfully, received abhorrently poor advice, not cooperated in a professional manner with the authorities or ignored matters despite clear warnings then obviously the disrepute will be enormous. But this right now is still wildly hard to believe.

This was what one of the women put on Twitter back in 2022 (the one who signed up here).

Given that the CPS had enough evidence to charg, the club should have exercised better judgment.

I don’t mind the men’s team being asked about it, but when journalists start questioning the women’s team, that’s when things could get seriously uncomfortable, and lead to some very telling quotes.

The most scary element to this is the potential implication that the club may have scuppered legal process in some roundabout way. Or that they waited when there was clear information present to them that the charge was inevitable.

We did not extend his contract, not like we ‘terminated’ his contract.
I don’t understand why this would be Arsenal’s problem, in any perspective.

Tbf there was intent to.

We really can’t be certain of this either way until more information on the matter over the past 3 years is presented.

Not sure how club can be held accountable here. How can the club know Partey is truly guilty when the court hasn’t given their final verdict yet?

Why would the cops or CPS even take the clubs call? They will have known whatever Partey and his lawyers passed on and nothing more.

I’ve read some posters above referencing the club issuing a statement regarding this. What do people think the club can or should say here—other than letting the legal process play out?

Not too mention liability that the club could be potentially opening up…

People talking about the ‘suspicious’ timing and Arsenal’s perceived involvement in it need to have a word with themselves.

Surely this has more to do with the fact that the CPS realised that without a contract, Partey was now far more likely to leave the country, potentially to one without an extradition treaty so therefore rushed to bring charges. Arsenal have no bearing on what the CPS do or when they do it. Bizarre

Is there any reporting on where Partey is right now or whether he is actually in the UK? He was with a few of the other players working out in Spain last week.

The Arsenal players WhatsApp group must be popping off
