Thomas Partey

Yeah no Partey in the training camp pics. Darks times man.

i read he didnt in fact travel to Germany which probably means its him

it’ll be obvious for sure in the next few days unless Arsenal play him until its proven which would be a bad look

Fingers crossed it ain’t Partey, if it is Partey forget top 4, we won’t even remain above the likes of United, West Ham and maybe sides like Leicester and Villa.

CM is already a weak spot for us and that’s with us having the availability of our best CM. The likes of Xhaka, Lokonga and Elneny as options are a nightmare.

What does Islam have to do with it? At least wait till he is guilty before you dunk on him

Don’t care about his religion, his anything.
I agree that, wait till he (anyone) is proven guilty then judge.
Not going to think about it till a name is out.

It’s more the irony of turning to religion, only to (allegedly) commit a heinous crime (which is now reported to be another two women have come forward).

That’s not irony works. If he proclaimed himself a sanctimonious person because he turned to religion then you would have a point. Being religious or not doesn’t stop you from doing horrible things

Didn’t he do just that?

Nope he said he just turned to religion to give him direction and a purpose

He turned to Islam to marry his now wife who is Moroccan. The same woman he was holidaying in Marbella with. This doesnt add up. PLs be innocent man.

The irony of this is the club made a concerted effort to sign players who had the right attitude.

Having the right attitude on the field and off the field are different matters.
His work rate is very good. Don’t think I’ve seen him slacking while tracking back or being nonchalant.

All that, and then add his quality on the ball.
That’s Partey on the pitch. That’s the one we see and I assume his teammates and the club sees. Still, the club isn’t gonna babysit a man that’s closing in his 30s.

We have some wrestling fans in here who know similar stories of excellent hard working athletes/workers who everyone loved in the business having a dark side that most people weren’t aware about that led to tragic events.

Different times, I know, but Arsenal always prided itself on its selection processes - a ‘character profiling’, if you will, long before such a thing became mainstream. The club would have a pretty good idea of who you were before you set foot inside the marble hall. I think that was something instituted by Herbert Chapman.

That’s the thing though. “Pretty good idea”. There’s so much you can learn about a person. Far from the full picture.

In this situation, you don’t know what someone might be doing behind closed doors with another person.
Yes, there are some perverts that show you who they are in public but some are just waiting for that door to shut to reveal their other side.

There are a lot of nutjobs in football unfortunately. (no i am not comparing the 2) but i am sure for example West Ham wouldn’t have bought Zouma if they knew he loved to belt cats around and laugh about it. You can never know what a person truly is like unless you are with them behind closed doors for a good long time.
