Indeed, a reason he might want to leave the country.
Moneyyy
Have these Saudi clubs signed a single player from a major league and paid a transfer fee? I feel theyâre offering mad wages but only to guys who are available for free.
Partey is one of the âstarâ names in our squad. It would hurt to lose him when his quality is so obvious.
When heâs on it (which was 2/3 of last season) then he can not be dispossessed and he punches through the opponentâs lines. We donât have a player who can do that coupled with his defensive nous.
Would be gutted if he left. Would feel like 2 steps forward and 2 steps back.
Ruben Neves will be the first. ÂŁ45m
Excellent, hopefully theyâll be willing to go to at least 50 million for an akhi brother that also happens to be a much better midfielder.
Yeah losing Partey isnât how we should be going about making our squad stronger to try and win a league title.
For me as much as I want Rice here, Rice for him is kind of wash and doesnât even improve the starting eleven and if we sell Partey doesnât even improve the depth.
Rice is 6 years younger though and more durable at least.
but partey hasnât been on his game neither and at the end of the season cost us points and he doesnât seem right mentally.
Had a really poor final 2 months, but was outstanding until April.
Unless itâs really good money for a 30 year old, or he for whatever reason desperately wants out, I simply donât see the point.
People really over egging his bad April like he wasnât unreal til then. In the last game he was looking more back to himself, obviously only 1 game and everyone was on it so doesnât mean much but his previous should.
Dude isnât checked out, he just hit a bad patch of form and that was aligned with most of the team. If you think it was just him that dropped in form, then surely that shows how important to us he is? We went shit cos Partey dropped off?
100m or GTFO.
Iâd be heartbroken if we even considered moving Partey on.
He was the glue that held our team together from October to Feb.
If thatâs the case letâs bin the whole team, lol.
And that includes Arteta.
I totally get the long-term thinking of it. Wrong side of thirties. Heâs Top 2-3 highest earners at the club and if it isnât obvious already to people, Rice is coming in to replace him, not Xhaka.
Having said all that, having a player like him, even if heâs not a starter could be a game changer. Dude is well-versed with our system, has loads of experience under him and is incredibly versatile, especially in our system. Weâre sacrificing a lot losing him, so if it comes to it, they better get some big money in and address the gap adequately, and that shouldnât just be the Rice coming in.
Loss of form, hit 30, not looking to extend contract, personal life allegations still looming. He was phenomenal up till March but I can see why a move may happen.
Better be a very good offer.

I would only consider it if it is an offer that would allow us to bring in Caicedo.
What would be an acceptable offer? ÂŁ40-50m?
if they could stretch to ÂŁ400-500m that would be great.
