Thomas Partey (5)

Yes. But that’s not what I’m talking about. I’m exactly talking about dweebs like this guy thinking his upset at some wrong info being tweeted and knowing the tweeters motivation means they should take action.

The idea that he did this to boost his platform is so fucking dumb I don’t know where to start. He obviously thought his information was good and has learned a harsh lesson here. If they’ve fired him over this it’s not because of twitter.

What do you mean? By associating with him his new employer was getting bad traction from Arsenal fans who have a big reach on social media.
They’re a bit of an upstart company as well that’s dedicated on transfers which means they heavily rely on platforms like Twitter and Instagram.
Makes sense that they dumped him to save face here.

Something in what was done would be in breach of contract or something like that. And this is if they even fired him at all. Perhaps he had a short term contract they paid up to cut their losses or he walked himself. Nothing has been announced has it?

Anyway a bit of a pointless back and forth iv gotten myself involved in here.

I don’t mind he got some accountability for that tbh. Everyone needed to shut the fuck up but no one knew how too. Social media sphere trying to link his presence in Germany to the allegations was fucking stupid.

Yeah, The Times misreported something about Oartey as well and retracted it like him but he got the most backlash because the matter was so fresh. Plus, he was a pretty big name within Arsenal fans.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the reason why he’s been fired was because someone close/inside the club said something.

Still unsubstantiated rumours. Anyone reliable said anything or is it just guess work from Twitter?

He deleted all his posts about his new job at FootballTransfers on both Twitter and Insta, and he updated his bio to not include them anymore.
FootballTransfers also removed all posts about him as well.

Lol so many tweets about him being sacked

Yeah, Arsneal Twitter throwing a party about it.
Not too long ago they were all twerking for Wheatley btw.

In hindsight, I’m not that mad at him. Probably got bad info from someone he trusts and had an opening for a big scoop so he went for it. Should have probably done a better job verifying this information but I think the way he deleted the tweet and tried to sweep it under the carpet hoping nobody would notice was bad.

Apart from OA I think all social media is a societal cancer and should be banned with immediate effect. The world was a better place before these platforms got created.

If the guy genuinely got some bad info then it is very pathetic how they’ve got the pitchforks out.

Same people who were no doubt begging and bugging him for transfer news for years throwing their toys out of the pram when it is a story or supposed outcome they didn’t like.

Retractions do happen, the sheer sense of entitlement some people have never ceases to amaze me.

The Internet is one of the world’s greatest inventions, the Internet is also one of the world’s worst inventions.

Our entire season rests on the shoulders of this guy. He is irreplaceable, there is nobody we can go and buy that can replace what he does for us.

He’s genuinely world-class. I think he starts in every team in the world right now.

Partey is genuinely my favourite type of midfielder he’s just so elegant and composed. On top of his obvious physical strength he’s a complete type of player and you genuinely can’t name many midfielders who can do what he does as well as he does when he’s on form.

He’s honestly what I thought a deep lying playmaker Pogba could have been.
