And whatever may have been the state of the club, Arsene Wenger would have made it top 4 at least once in 4 seasons.
Such an amazing squad who had just finished 12th in the league before Wenger came lmaoooooo okay
Bunch of drunk players who had more or less given up on their careers
For sure they were talented but they clearly didnt give af and were selling. Wenger fixed that, which is maybe harder than having a ton of money just to build a new team tbh.
Funny thing is, they are right Wenger was given a much better team when he took over than what he left the club with. However Wenger was dealing with a very mediocre team and was still qualifying for europe and making cup finals semi finals. When Emery took that team over he actually improved on what Wenger was doing. Dunno how u can look at that and say Wenger left the team in shambles. A few upgrades and a good manager and ur probably getting back into the CL pretty easily. Club is a fucking mess up top tho with no direction.
This man was the pin in the grenade
Thomas dream killer Partey
I guess Wenger is to be blamed for the injury crisis with this club.
Something with his training sessions that is affecting players that were brought in after he left
Honestly thought we had control of midfield pretty well considering they let us do whatever we wanted there.
76% possession. What was this man supposed to have us do, score the goals himself?
I thought Chelsea-United-West Ham would be a death sentence without him. But apparently Palace-Brighton-Southampton was the real death row.
Can someone esplain the logic of this to me. Partey is a CL midfielder right now and the linchpin of our team. So we decide to go out and buy a bunch of youth guys to develop to come good in like 3 or 4 years once the best player we have is old and past it? Make it make sense.
Then when Arteta fails its gonna be becuase we dont have a good midfield and we need to go out and buy a couple midfielders for 50m each. Then we have to wait for them to come good in 2 years. Cycle continuesā¦
Just by counting numbers, we should have a balance of experience and youth.
Our best 11 supposed to have 4 experienced players in Tierney, Partey, Xhaka, Auba/Laca. The rest are young players.
Unfortunately, two of them injured too often in critical time, and the 3rd one is doing more harm than contributing. Aubaās scoring touch was lost and was asked to leave; and Laca is doing more defensive work than scoring.
Thomas No Partey
5th which is higher than the position Wenger left the club in for his successor
Also inherited a much better squad than he left behind thatās for sure.
Wenger basically did the opposite of what Graham / Rioch did lmao
Edit: Iām also tired of the conversation ending up being about Wenger every time we suffer. Heās a big part of our decline but heās been gone for long enough for us to be able to focus on what comes next rather than constantly hashing up the past
which finished 12th sure
Suffer silently because AKBs were told we will have a better life post Wenger.
Tell me how this is a better life.
If you canāt tell me how, then suffer silently
Life supposed to be better because we had a choice to make a difference.
The bad part was, the fucking owner and board did not have enough patience to a coach that could lead us to something and hang on too long for a rookie.
Chances were there⦠Klopp, Pep, Poch, Conte⦠we did not take any.
Excuses excuses
Where are the happy days?
WOBs are bunch of cuntish frauds
Right here mate.
Which makes AKBās fraudulent cunts?
Odds on him to come back for the Tottenham game and pull up after 25 mins?
