Thierry Henry

He’s definitely responsible for a lot of people becoming gooners.

The closest thing we ever got to a peak R9 in terms of the way he combined speed, power, technique.

Exceptional player.

What a brilliant video.

Took some effort to make that considering a big part those highlights aren’t connected to the goals (or even goal chances).

Who else than souster98 :+1:
(I’m not payed for this :pires:)

You lot are lucky to have seen him live

Absolutely (even on TV obviously).

We haven’t had anything remotely close to him since he left and probably won’t have in the near future.

Had high hopes about Pepe at the start… :partey:

I have only seen him in compilations and find it laughable when footballers with very basic ball control are compared to him.
There are fans that rank Haaland, Rooney, Aguero close to him or over him.

The amount of swag Henry has in his game

Henry was different gravy, man. Had pace, strength, technique, skills, flair, finishing, intelligence, passing. You name it. You would always keep believing till the final whistle no matter the scoreline cause of Henry. Probably won’t see a striker like that in the league for a long long time.

Also I miss grainy footage. It added more charisma to football matches.

For goals and assists, as well as skill and flair, there hasn’t been a better striker in the PL.
There also has’t been many better attacking line ups than Henry, Bergkamp, Pires and Ljungberg.

Henry is still the best player this league has ever seen. It’s been 20-years and no-one has come close. Haaland could score 2,000 goals for all I care, he still doesn’t compare to Henry.

CR9 if he stayed at Man Utd would be the only exception here imo.

Live as in at the time or as in from up close like attending a match?

Either

How old are you? Don’t answer if you don’t want to share it here.

Henry scored worldies, so many worldies.

Suarez last season at Liverpool is up there as is CR7.

I’d say them 3 are the best attackers in PL history.

Henry is clear as day, Ronaldo could’ve joined him had he stayed around but I think Henry’s style and swagger would’ve always given him the edge regardless.

Peak Suarez was unstoppable but really 1/2 seasons in this league where he showed that and even Sterling/Sturridge looked good in that team. Suarez in that MSN link up though

Others will throw Aguero but I think he’s below these guys despite more time in the league. His mpg is elite and he has that title winning moment but not sure he had the same overall impact of dragging the team on his back for years.

I think Bale could’ve been in the discussion too had he stayed in the PL.
