Theo Walcott

No comparison needed really. Pires could clearly play for Pep. Theo never could.
Theres so much more than stats needed to play for a coach like him.

Pires was the midfielder who basically created the clichĂ© “you need goals from midfield” in the PL era. Won trophies off the back of his insane contribution (and fucking should have won the league again in 03 as well, what a waste that season was).

Played in a much more creative capacity and didn’t hang off the shoulder of defenders. The fact he had 3 seasons x 14 PL goals as a predominantly left sided midfielder is crazy.

Even Gary Neville (that inbred rat-bastard son of a whore) said Pires was impossible to man mark. He’d always stray that yard or so away from you and them, boom! He was off

Walcott’s stats for all games are skewed by the hattrick and 3 assists against the mighty Reading

That makes for unpleasant reading

And the two goals he got versus Coventry in the same competition. Almost 25% of his total goals and almost 20% of his total assists came in two games against Coventry and Reading in the league cup lol.

Discount those League Cup games against League 1 opposition (Coventry), and the soon to be relegated Reading, Theo’s goal+assist per game goes to 1 every 99 minutes. Is that still a world-class season in your eyes? @BigWeng_4LYFE

Even Walcott and Sterling is a difficult comparison because Theo for so long was mostly just an off the ball threat. Quite unique in that sense that his pace, timing of runs and (to a lesser extent) finishing were so good it made up for his many other deficiencies. That was all he was in the side for a lot of times.

He was great against a high line and struggled more against the low block we often faced at home.

Sterling is a complete player and will be for a long time. Theo had a ‘complete’ package for about 2 seasons at most.

Sight of Theo through on goal was a joy. Me and my bro used to celebrate before it even hit the net lol. Lad tucked away 1v1’s for fun.

He improved on the ball in later seasons. CF stint was also very handy in certain games (rotation with Giroud worked well).

Looked finished by 2016 and defo needed to move on.

What trash logic is this exactly lelellel :grin:? You watched KDB literally just add 3 goal contributions against an already relegated Norwich the other day. A Norwich side that only got 21 fucking points in the PL this year :joy::joy:. Reading actually had a better season against a much better overall PL back then. That’s just the tip of iceberg on how shit this logic is, and how bad the math is because u took away Theo’s goals/assists but not the minutes he played so even if we take out the League Cup stuff he’s still making 29 goal contributions in 2800 minutes which puts him at 1 goal contribution per 95 and equal footing with KDB Mr PL player of the season, and thats actually with KDB getting his goals counted against relegation fodder which I guess Theo, in this pathetic attempt to discredit him, doesn’t get the benefit of. Lelelelell git rekt shitters :clap::joy::joy:

@Flexo we got him :fishing_pole_and_fish:

It’s a good job but trolling while making baseless arguments and using incorrect ‘facts’ isn’t as good as dropping actual truth bombs on ppl and they get so trigerred their only retort is to claim ur trolling them, that’s more my style which isn’t actually trolling it’s just ppl being annoyed cuz u constantly prove them wrong :+1::+1:

But on a separate note, MODS BAN THEM THEY ADMIT TO TROLLINGGGG

My bad bro. So would you say 1 goal per 95 minutes is still a ‘world-class season’?

I still laugh that Everton bought both him and Iwobi for nearly 60 million

You can classify it however u like but the fact remains:

Theo 12/13 >>>>> KDB

Of course our fanatics would hate KDB if he did his knee and wasn’t the same player next season, whilst calling him average and writing his elite production off as a couple freak seasons. Only cuz we’ve got one of the most fickle pathetic fan bases in all of sports :joy::joy::+1::+1:

Have you expressed them sentiments on mania yet?

There’s not really a need to, the football conversation over there is so much more intellectual, they already understand this type of stuff :+1::+1::grin::grin:

You know you’re increasingly desperate to bait people when you say something as ludicrous as any version of Walcott over KdB.

I’m actually pleased it’s such transparent trolling cos I wouldnt like to believe anyone is genuinely that fucking stupid, I’d be concerned for their ability to look after themselves in real life.

Yeah I dunno what I’m talking about they say to the guy who told them

-Laca was shit
-Torreira wasn’t anything special and definitely not a Santi Cazorla replacement
-Arsenal would suffer when wenger left as opposed to the general sentiment there would be magic and rainbows and all ills would be cured :joy::joy:
-called Xhaka about 3 years ago
-told y’all how Dani Ceballos would come good despite his poor start. (Called him being our best midfielder way back)

I mean I can keep going, but it’s pretty clear I have a talent for watching the game and I’m amongst simpletons who are maybe too superficial to see the finer details of soccer :+1::+1:
