The weather

Sorry, been taking a break between the snow season and the thunderstorm season. Thursday should be the warmest day of the year for us in the South East. The wife and I are going to have our first beer garden afternoon.

Cooling down for a week or so from Saturday, cold nights returning unfortunately.

The UK is unmatched :joy::clap:

I noticed myself how spring like it was today and slightly warm even if it just was 10 degrees :joy:

When do your clocks go forward? Ours go this Saturday.

Last Sunday of March

The worst day of the year, robbed of an hours kip.

Yep, sat down on the quayside here in North Essex and had my first outdoor pint of the year.
Got a few more days of this before it turns more yuck and cold next week.

Where are the beat places for a weekend away in East Anglia? I’m just south of there in Essex and once I’m qualified and have a car I wanna have a long weekend somewhere “local”

That’s looks like Burnham.

Norfolk Broads. Hire a boat for the weekend.

Pretty day in Ramsgate also. Seems a few of us live near the Eastern coasts of this country.

Close, it’s the River Colne at Wivenhoe.

In modern internet speak, I think I’ve doxed myself.

Another blip in an otherwise disappointing-looking Spring. The only positive is that if this pattern holds until June it will be hot (and thundery). But April and May are currently in danger of being average at best.

All to play for at this stage though. Long range forecasting is a fickle pursuit in a changing climate.

We are coming up to having 2 full weeks of it being sunny and blue skies every day. Its been glorious.

Gonna be a gutter when this spell eventually ends :joy:

Raining all day Saturday and Sunday in the Midlands. Sad times.

Experts are suggesting a cooler than average April with the chance of Easterlies being the most likely average wind direction.

I hope they’re wrong, this is how Summers 2023 & 2024 started and both were pretty cold here in the East until June. I miss mild Springs.

What a week to have annual leave :sunny::sunny:

Every year we get a great April and May :joy:

It stopped snowing here this morning after a continuous 36 hours. 34cm total. They don’t call this The Great White North for nothing.

Keep an eye on those minimums though. It’s going to be the sort of spring weather where the temps plummet before sunset.

Turning cooler across the UK the week after too, so don’t unpack the picnic set just yet.
