Not to try and pump our guys up but I think the others had better teams around them from the off and were any of them 20/21 when these partnerships started?

I’ve been culpable of saying we’re going to be the worst team to win the league, and have seen a lot of others saying it as well, but looking back on it after tonight’s win I do think that’s probably unfair.
The real truth is probably that we’ve been dominant in the PL for so many years now along with City that everyone is terrified of us and just parks the bus with 11 players behind the ball.
When you look at our European form, it is imperious - you don’t win 7 in 7 in the UCL against team like Bayern, Inter and Atlético whilst conceding only 2 goals if you aren’t one of the absolute best teams in the world.
If everyone in the PL weren’t such cowards resorting to terror-ball every game, we’d have a lot more wins.
It’s great to see European fans on Reddit who have just seen the memes and think we’re a Posh Stoke City get served humble pie after we thrash them in the CL.

Yep. Its what pisses me off the most about opposition and and pundits criticising our football. 90% of our games involve our opponent just sitting back with 11 men behind the ball and barely doing anything of note.
I agree that we aren’t exciting and I dont think we are perfect but it’s not purely our own doing, teams playing us arent setting up to play an exciting brand of football either.
We are joint top scorers in the CL with a ridiculous GD of 18 from just 7 games.
We are 5 off City in the PL, but they have a goal robot. Without him I doubt they are ahead of us either. Likewise I think with him we probably have 7 or 8 more goals. United only have 2 goals less than us but they have also conceded 18 more goals lol

I think these prem teams playing low blocks and trying to frustrate us has just made us sharper against teams in Europe that are used to dominating weaker opponents in their respective leagues.
I appreciate the Sean Dyche’s of the world for helping us train.

I read that we passed 400 goals in CL/EC the other night so i got curious and checked back. 70 of those have come in the last three seasons.
