The State of The Arsenal

Yeah, City will be the main treath. If they can avoid too many injuries and if all goes well for them they will be very dangerous, even though I still think they can’t get to that ridiculous level of 2023 or 2024.

Creatively they are better and have Haaland up front to make it count, although defensively we are obviously better.

Allround I’d say we have a better and more complete squad, better covers on the bench, but it’s close.

We still have a lot room for improvement going forward and we need to improve there in order to really take everything into our hands and not to hope for their shit form and stuff like that.

Would be very satisfying to beat Guardiola in a title race, after failing in 2023 and 24.

Wouldn’t be the same if we just get it against that Dutch bald fraud.

Man City getting a points deduction has to be a minimum punishment considering they’ve cheated their way to the title over us.

But if we’re top of the PL, you can almost guarantee any points deduction will be next season and not this.

Bosh.

Liverpool and City both lose, we win and we strengthen our lead at the top.

What a weekend.

Fantastic results. Arsenal taking advantage of Pool and City stumbling.

Fingers crossed on Saliba and Rice.

Just keeping the team motivated.

I bloody love it. Couldn’t explain why if pressed though.

I wonder if Arteta thought they weren’t gonna come away with the win, hence the comments.

Judging by his antics on the touchline, he really wanted the team to get another goal or 2.

Or maybe it’s cause our rivals all dropped points

6 points clear of City, 7 clear of Liverpool.

About a quarter of the season gone and we’ve conceded just three goals. Meaning we’re on pace to concede just 12 goals in this league campaign.

Not bad :xhaka2: :xhaka2: :xhaka2: :xhaka2: :xhaka2:

I thought the same going into this game. The way we followed that Atleti result was important.
And given how the other games went, Gabby and Saka being doubts, the way we struggled today, to still find a way and get the result even if it was ugly.

Gotta be proud of that.

I think we’re also in a tough moment in terms of jaded players and getting used to the two a week grind. We did not rotate much the past eight days and are really feeling the absences of Odegaard, Kai, and Maduke. Players like Gyokeres, Zubimendi, Rice, Timber, and Gabriel are putting in ironman shifts every three days.

Need some serious rotation against Brighton in the league cup. At the very least, Martinelli, Merino, MLS, and Nwaneri need to come into the side. Mosquera too I assume and maybe White if he isn’t crocked or Hincapie if he is ready to play 60+ minutes.

Gyokeres and Rice are probably really feeling it. The whole back five should be rotated in the cup. This is the one time where I would risk rotating the team to a point to where it could impact our chances of progressing in the cup.

Hoping to see essentially a whole new 11 vs Brighton. Merino up front and Gyokeres rested.

Injuries are still a concern. Depth or not, we can’t be picking up 3 new issues a game.

That’s the first time I’ve ever heard him speak and I was shocked to hear he has a German/Austrian accent, for some reason I thought he was American :joy:

You missed out on him foreshadowing the FA Cup final last season.

Not sure why but I always hear Jar Jar Binks when he talks.
