The State of The Arsenal

It’s pretty horrendous (on paper) after the break.

I get the impression Odegaard may be back so it’s a huge silver lining.

Would’ve been nice to play them now. We would’ve smashed them.

Honestly, looks like we are even a little better now without Odegaard - that’s a crazy thing because Ode is fucking good. Just feel like Trossard stepped up massively now and is proving his worth over and over again.

Our first 15-16 players are just as good as anybody.

Respectfully disagree.

Dunno about sexy but we are a seriously good football team. We can play possession based football, we can play pragmatic football, we can park the bus and we can counter attack. We can do the silky stuff and the physical stuff, and excel in both. Don’t think there are many teams that can do that. And this team has proper character.

Mikel has transformed this team, and this club. Let’s hope he wins stuff this season ONWARDS cause this team has to build a legacy.

If not for that freak cheat team we would have had 2 league titles already :frowning:

I really like the state we are in right now; I can’t wait for Merino and Sterling to start games but at the same time Martinelli and Partey are much better than before making it difficult to drop them, and I think that it has to be about competition that we have for starting places.
Also, I think that White will comeback even better than before his injury.

This is the kind of adaptability that is missing in so many managers right now. Arteta is one of the few coaches who can adapt his team to changing situations in a game.

Yep and I think that was pretty clear from the start in terms of tactics, for me one of the things that probably helped him stick around after that poor start in his first full season.

Plenty of decent managers can play one way very well, to be elite you need to appreciate all aspects of the game and different approaches where necessary. E.g. vs spurs this season, the 10 man second half battle vs city, using martinelli vs high line even when trossard was more in form.

Needs the titles to cement his legacy but he’s already put the foundations together.

what an article.
didn’t City pull Haaland (and whoever) from previous international break?
so pulling players from NT (or not get selected) is a big deal now?

I think this is more useful to the youngsters and perhaps the current bench players to work with other senior players.

Unique…muppets

Why is this a pivotal moment in title race?

Because league titles are decided in October.
