The State of The Arsenal

That mentality is the difference between a mature squad and a young one. Hence why City are favourites.

We over use the word bottling. It’s simply pressure situations.
Yeah we all lose our shit when it’s happening but it really is just pressure situations and lack of experience now.
How quick we absorb them defines the future. A result tonight and we are in a great position on this.
Otherwise it’ll take till the summer to process and you go from there next season.
You can’t short cut experience unfortunately. It comes from set backs and how you respond.

I agree with most of the above. However…

The thing that pisses me off though is why is it always Arsenal?? Why are our players/infrastructure always cocking it up when it matters?

Just so tired of the collective bullshit from our club as a whole when we truly have an opportunity to do something special.

Champions League in 2006
Premier League 2008
League Cup in 2011
UEFA Cup in 2019
Premier League 2023

How in the hell can you be 30+ games gone in a season well ahead of 2nd place and you fuck up so many times in succession that you lose the lead, it really makes no sense. Worst part is being 2 goals up in 2 of those games. It sounds like fanfiction.

It’s still a colossal bottle job imo, even though I know Man City are arguably the best club side to have ever graced the Premier League… maybe even worldwide in history…

I just hope the team can learn from this and do one better next season, cause they had it in the fucking bag. We should be 11 points clear of City right now (13 if not for the Brentford VAR cheat) and could afford to lose to City by any margin, and draw 2-3 games afterwards (Brighton & Newcastle), and would still comfortably win the league…

But only Arsenal makes it this difficult for themselves.

I know I need to calm down , just wish it didn’t have to come down to this…was all so avoidable

Rather than us being bottlers, we actually got ourselves into a position where we could win the title.
This is something that massive spenders like Man U and Chelsea failed to do, as well as other big clubs like Liverpool and spurs.

I can guarantee that most people that call us bottlers are supporters from rival clubs who would do anything to swap places with us.

You can’t seriously not expect us to drop points though. City did theres earlier in the season compared to us. They also have about 2 starting 11’s compared to ours.

This is why Man City tend to have a good finish to every season because while most other PL clubs have injuries, Man City are cruising with world class players on the pitch and the bench.

They’ve got a top quality defensive depth and goals from players like Haaland, Mahrez, De Bruyne, Gundagon, Grealish, Foden, Rodri, Bernardo, etc.

Constantly rotating world class players like this is a luxury most clubs can’t afford.

Been a good season despite the last few weeks. We already have a great crop of young players. Need to buy a couple quality experienced players to bring a bit more calm into this team now.

We have fluffed it against West Ham and Southampton.

We were never going to get anything at City

Is what it is. We weren’t ready and eventually that told. No shame going toe to toe with this city team for 33 games.

Haven’t cared this way about the club for years. I’m not gonna wallow on it.

The title is the bonus part that will come.

I cant tell you how much I have enjoyed this season and I will remember that over the disappointing end due to other factors.

Counting down to every game instead of watching out of support.

We lost the title drawing 3 in a row if we won those matches a loss here would not mean much. At the end of the day it was in our hands we were never going to beat city at they ground

People can and should rightly be looking at the positives this season but you have to question how pundits, rival fans and fear in ours know this performance was possible.
The last four games fall is something we just can’t seem to conquer.

Title was lost long ago imo. That City performance at the Emirates was telling. These lads fear City, I think it says a lot our backup players have faired better than them.

Quite a lot of work to be done in the summer. Hope the Kroenkes are prepared for one last push.

Sometimes you have to overachieve to achieve anything.

As much as we’ve improved from last season overall, none of it truly matters without winning the Premier League while we had this incredible opportunity to do so.

I’m sorry but 2008 was no worse a title challenge with a young team supposedly on an upward trajectory. It took 15 years to get back to this point and we’ve collapsed once again.

3 points from a possible 12. Relegation form in full effect. This form is equivalent to 1 win and 3 losses. Maybe we were lucky to be top of the league till now… can’t cope cause 1 player isn’t available who isn’t even a striker  only this football club.

We’ve been dog shit to average for nearly two decades now. People knew we had it in us because you don’t historically turn into champions over night. Even look at Klopps Pool, the only real competition this bloated corrupt cunt club have had and it took them losing the CL final and league before and after.

They didn’t lose their conviction however and stood by their ideology, during any other period they’d have had 2 or 3 more major honours.

Tonight was bullshit and I hated every minute of it but you simply don’t lose 7-2 home and away to another team and get to claim the best in the league.

Summer has to be perfect, no more relying on Nelson, Nketiah, Holding, Vieira, Sambi, Tavares types. Good useful players some of them but not at the highest echelons of the sport.

I don’t want to hear any one begging for us to bring Balogun back either

This! We have a shit bench that wouldn’t start in any top 10 EPL club apart from Trossard. But he should be starting every game imho.

it always seems to end the same being an arsenal fan, finally I thought we had changed but this collapse is typical to us (it feels familiar)

Bloody hell the redcafe boys predicted our collapse. They had so many post say “just wait they will collapse”

Good for them. Bravo.
