Yes. It’s actually a pretty old thing here in NZ. We call it ‘running it straight’ which comes from rugby where the ball-carrier will run with the ball directly at a defender one-on-one.
It’s also a common colloquial saying. Like ‘oh you think you’re the man (as in tough)? Run it straight then g’. Basically like a challenge to someone.
I’m serious too btw. People used to say run it straight all the fucking time when I was in school.
And yes this new ‘sport’ is fucking stupid as fuck. I love MMA and have fought in it myself but this is like 20x more retarded.
