I just don’t understand lip fillers, their prevalence really bemuses me.

Show of hands, does anyone here think they look good, or find them attractive?

Nay brother. And now it seems more feasible for people to access this kind of beauty treatment, it’s worse.

If they’re done correctly and with small amounts of filler (like a .5) then it can look really good and you’d never know it had been done.

But like in most instances humans are addicted to excess so most people end up doing it and ending with stupid busted up looking duck lips that look dumb.

I’m with you, in 90% of cases they’re totally botched.

Seen some horrific cases in the wild in my time.

Even when it is done well, it’s usually so subtle you would think why even bother.

I know people who have lip fillers and I try my hardest to not laugh in their face at how stupid they look

I have paused before to consider that there could be loads of people out there who have good fillers that are subtle and go undetected, and that I only notice the people who have bad work done, or too much done.

“Man suspected of ramming Jennifer Aniston’s gates.”

Is that a euphemism or just click bait? :grinning:

The “put yourself in the shoes of a thirteen year old boy hearing this” bit was just bizarre lol.

For a long time, I used to think that perhaps British empire was a good thing for India to be unified & have some modern processes in place and then I read about 10m deaths due to Bengal famine in 1700s, 3m deaths due to famine (again in Bengal) in 1943 and so much more.

No amount of benefits will justify that amount of loss of lives.
Having some basic guilt of the past is a massive escape from the proper condemnation that should have followed at the time.

PS - That 13 year old shouldn’t feel guilty about what some nutjob ancestor did in 1800s. Move on.

When I was growing up, it was always a stereotype that Germans never talked about world war 2 and the Nazis, but when I went it was clear that Germans are extremely in tune with the lessons of their history compared to us.

It’s truly bizarre that Britain can’t get to grips with just how much damage its history has done. Building an electricity network doesn’t offset millions of deaths and enslaved ffs.

That’s the thing, there is nothing about our curriculum that teaches children to feel guilty about things that happened hundreds of years ago. The idea that children are being taught to feel guilty about our past is a fiction.
