The randomly nothing thread

I wish this person would STFU. She’s been crying in the Scottish media all week.

You were wrong. It’s not a game of football that you stand up and chant, you sit down shut up and laugh.

Peter Kays comeback was sensational :joy::clap:

Letting hecklers have air time on a TV show is wild. Fuck up.

I guess for Peter Kay, that probably does count as a sensational comeback.

I don’t really understand how chanting ‘we love you’ counts as a heckle but i also don’t care that she got kicked out for it.

I didn’t see the show so I don’t know how it went down. I don’t like people who cause others around them to feel uncomfortable or irritated by their actions. It’s happened to most of us at a gig or football match.

I love Peter Kay, but an important part of being a comedian is to respond to hecklers in a way that makes them wish they could run and hide. I seem to recall Richard Herring doing a lengthy put-down that made everyone in the venue laugh at the heckler.

As this is the random thread. Anyone got any really good comedian heckler responses?

Bill Burr’s Philly rant is the greatest of all time.

Was a comedy festival in Philadelphia, crowd were arseholes to every act and by the time Bill Burr had his slot he was already fuming. Came out and just trashed the entire city for about 10 minutes. Trashed em for having a statue of Rocky instead of a real athlete like Joe Frazier cos they’re all racists, plus loads of other hilariously rude comments.

He went so hard on them, and gave so few fucks that by the end half the crowd were laughing and cheering him on.

Hard to get decent footage of it, but well worth a listen regardless.

Was he supposed to catch it or let it bounce?

A conversion (the initial kick) is meant to go through the posts. Like in American football, the opposition can charge out and attempt to block the kick.

In this case, the kick was short and wasn’t going to make it through the posts. However, an opposition player tried to clear it but ended up deflecting it between the posts instead.

Random question. Has there ever been an AO pub meet-up? Is it a good idea?

When I win the lottery I’ll fly us all out to Barbados and do it there.

Yes to Grand Place, no to Stella, though I have had a few of those too. Trying to try a few other Belgian beers while I’m here, even though I’m a basic lager bitch at heart
