The Samaria Gorge is the longest Gorge in Europe, about eleven miles, and although there is a path, it was very steep in places and quite rough.
Because I worked in Crete, I got to know some of the guides, and they used to say that anyone who bought a trip to walk down the gorge were told to wear walking boots or at least strong trainers.
But they were amazed to see people turning up in flip flops and even women wearing high heeled shoes.
Never under estimate peoples stupidity.

Playing 7 a side for the first time in absolute years tonight with my mate and a bunch of strangers.
Had to go out and get new kit as I donāt have any whatsoever anymore.
New Adidas boots, nike shin pads with ankle guards and 2 pairs of Sondico football socks = Ā£51; god bless Mike Ashley and his dubious business practices.
