This is true to be fair. I was on holiday with my two and a half year old niece last week and I asked her what her doll was called. And she replied, “It doesn’t have a name yet. I’m waiting until it’s older and then i’ll let it choose its own gender and name. I do not believe dolls should be profiled within gender norms.”
