One of few England managers to really have a handle on all the aspects of the role. So close to the World Cup in 2002. If we’d beaten Brazil we would have won that tournament.

England vs Brazil WC 2002 was the first football match I watched. Such a huge game my school didn’t even bother with classes most of the day and let us watch the match, we huddled around a CRT TV in anticipation. Sven was at the helm.

I don’t even know how to summarise how iconic he is. Unbelievable career, one of the greatest pieces of voice acting of all time as Darth Vader surely.
